I needed a couple of outlets added and wanted to go from one fixture to two in the bathroom. I was able to make an appointment the same week and on a Saturday which was helpful for my schedule. Pierre came and did the work. He was great, polite and took the time to explain what he was doing. I would use Belco again, especially if Pierre was the technician.

Belco was fantastic. When I called, they booked me within the same week. They called the day before to offer an earlier time due to a cancelation, and they reconfirmed my time. Pierre, the electrician, was excellent from start to finish. He showed up within the first half hour of a 2 hour window, he explained exactly what he was doing and why in a way that was easy to understand, and he fixed our issue (a certain fixture was causing a short when turned on or only one or two out of three of the bulbs would come on). I am surprised by the negative reviews on here based on my experience. Belco was upfront about their pricing on the phone, telling me it was $189 for travel plus the first hour and a half hour rate after that. I was charged according to that policy. I would definitely recommend Belco, and I will be asking for Pierre specifically next time I need an electrician.

I specifically asked if they worked on portable generators when I first called them and they said yes. When the technician arrived, he checked out the electrical grid for the house and found everything was fine. Then he said they are not allowed to work on portable generators. The technician was friendly and courteous but after $200 visit, I still do not have a working backup generator!

Belco Electric had been referred to me by 2 sources. I called, spoke with Tim, sent him an email with a description of the work I needed, and he was very responsive in providing me with an estimate range. I had a few questions which he answered easily and then we scheduled the work. The electrician, Ron, showed up when committed and completed all the work (replacing fixtures inside and outside), and the final cost came in within the estimate - actually a few dollars below the estimate. Ron did quality work and he, too, was patient answering a few questions I had while the work was in progress. I will definitely contact Belco again the next time I need an electrician, and I will recommend them to friends.

I have strong mixed feelings about Belco. When I first called and described my problem to an electrician, he suggested I first get Georgia Power to come out for free to run some tests. I appreciated the honesty, which could have saved me several hundred dollars.
I ultimately did need Belco to come out and they replaced my circuit panel. Everything now works flawlessly. This part warrants a five-star review.
But they also left quite a mess behind. They ripped out my drywall to install the panel, and left big holes in the wall and exposed wires. They left the old (rather heavy) circuit box for me to dispose of. They left old circuit breakers, clamps, screws, and even tools scattered about, plus cigarette butts in the driveway. I called and spoke to a ""customer service director"" who was more interested in defending his crew than in making things right.
If you just want your power fixed, Belco is great. If you want them to leave your house as good as they found it, you may be disappointed.

Don't use this company. I called Belco to have some electrical work completed. When the lights they installed did not work they refused to send an electrician back out to reinspect the work. Complete waste of money! Stay away from Belco!

It must be a busy time of year for electrical repairs, because my old standby was booked and recommended Belco. I called and got an appointment with Belco for the next weekb they said they'd call if anything opens up earlier.
They called the very next day with an immediate opening. The guy was here within 20 minutes and fixed the problem in about 15 more! Will definitely use them again!

I was greatly overcharged by Belco. They charged me $189 just to come to my house. The $189 included the first hour. However, the electrician was there for 1.5 hours. So I was charged for the extra half hour too. The total was $229.00. The job was to determine why the fire alarm was chirping. Turns out it was one battery I replaced incorrectly. However, the electrician insisted on changing all of the connections and batteries to 6 alarms. He said I should do that to use up the hour. I had no idea it was going to end up at 1.5 hours and $229. All I needed was to have one battery installed correctly. My bad and it cost me big time.
Update 3/28/17: I did not give up. After a few more rude conversations with Belco, they finally and reluctantly reimbursed me for the extra half hour. I do not recall anyone in business ever speaking to me such a demeaning way. They let me know our relationship is terminated. No problem. I will gladly go elsewhere.

Wow. Don't use this company. Unreliable and terrible work. They did not show up on time, cancelled twice, started the job, did not do it right and had to finally get another company to finish. Terrible. They would not return phone calls. Probably will have to sue.

I had them come out to put in some sensor lights. They they did not provide the lights and I have to go out to the store and buy the lights very quickly because they're waiting and they told me about the wrong lights set to go back again and get the lights. That same week the sensor was not working and they said to come out and fix it again that they would have to charge. They are not concerned with customer service or quality but rather making money because the service was very expensive. I would not recommend to use this company. Recently I got wise electric to come out and they did an awesome job and went and bought all the supplies themselves and they fixed the mistakes of Belco.
