I used Yelp to create a project and Bear Electric was one of the best rates as well as prompt and informational responses. They gave a quick quote and I agreed to the work to be done. They came out the next day with two guys who were very respectful and conscientious and did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Thomas was terrific, responsive on the phone, and arrived within two hours--same day.

I tried changing a GFCI outlet myself for an intermittently non-working outlet, did everything exactly the same way. What are the chances it's a bad new unit? Did I somehow mess it up? Then there was another outlet that acted funny--that's where I thought it best to bring in a professional.

Thomas came out, did some troubleshooting, and found that our electrical panel had loose screws all over (installed by the builder), and due to that, three of the neutral wires were burned out--this was a pretty dangerous situation and could have gone undetected for a while.

Thomas did the repair and got everything in tip top shape--and as I was an eager watcher, I learned a lot from what he said and did.

All in all, we have such greater peace of mind that everything is safe and in good shape with the electrical. Oh, and it turns out I did install that new GFCI correctly after all :).

Would highly recommend and Thomas would be the first person I call with any electrical issues in the Austin area.

When I bought my house, I had all the electrical upgrade at that time, then I recently realized how long ago that was! Some of the breakers started tripping, so I knew I had to bite the bullet and have the whole breaker box brought up to the 21st century. I couldn't have been more pleased with Bear Electric. I thought I was going to have to make another appointment for the same thing with my garage, but they did it all in one day! Great job, and I feel safer now knowing everything is up to the recent code. I have found my electrician for life! Don't hesitate to get any electrical work done--these guys are great!

I had an Eaton Breaker that kept popping for our washing machine with a full load in there that was half washed and wet and my wife was freaking out. I contacted Scott with Bear and he sent one of his guys, Joe who had just left another job out. Within 30 minutes of me contacting Bear, Joe arrived and swapped out the bad breaker! I have used Bear for other jobs as well like Generator Interconnect and whole home surge protector and their service and prices can't be beat! It is so nice to find a local company that gives such great service, is friendly, and has the best prices around! I highly recommend Bear Electric to everyone! They also did a whole home Generac standby generator for one of my neighbors and they were extremely happy and impressed. They also installed a EV charger for my parents as well as additional Soffit outlets for Christmas lights at their house and additional outlets in the attic. They also offer panel replacements if needed.
