The short story, these guys were fast and accurate. On time, worked hard, got the job done quickly. The long story, we were in something of a bind. I needed someone to do demolition, someone to do electrical, and someone to do drywall. We needed it done quickly. I had a few contractors I used before in mind, and had some bids. Some of the contractors I had in mind were not very responsive (hey, they are busy contractors). Finally someone suggested I find one contractor to do it all, and gave me a couple of recommendations. Casey Marsh, owner of BCM Remodeling, was a bit hard to contact, but once I did, he turned out to be just the guy I needed. After giving me the best bid on the project (demo, electrical, drywall), we worked out a date when he could do the work. Believe it or not, and this really is unusual for a Santa Cruz area contractor, he and his crew were there at 8 am on the appointed day. By 8:10 they had there tools out and were at work. They didn't goof off, or take a lot of breaks, worked hard and fast. They just kept at it, had the entire job done, cleaned up and were out of there the same day. Kind of astonishing for laid back Santa Cruz. I found out why. Casey grew up on a dairy farm in Idaho. Just another day for an Idaho farm boy. The other thing I should mention is that when Casey came across something that wasn't right, and really needed to be done differently than we'd expected, he just dug in and did it right. No drama, no complaints, no extra charge. Refreshing, eh? Highly recommended.
