I rarely write revioews about ANYTHING but BBQ, however, when you encounter a business that is truly OUTSTANDING in it's field - you have to make an exception and let everybody know about it ! I trusted in my fellow Yelpers reviews about this business and am delighted that I did so !

I contacted Peter, the owner of B&C Electric and described to him my situation of having a contract to sell a residence that the buyers inspector had listed 10 electrical items to get repaired within a certain timeframe before the closing date. He was very straightforward and honest with me, telling me that he had given his word already on a few larger jobs ahead of mine so it would be at least a day or two before he could take a look at mine. I appreciated his honesty, and knew that I wanted him to do the job, so told him I would wait. Within 48 hours, Peter called ( after an already long & hard day of fixing folks electric problems) and asked if I wanted him to take a look at the job after he stopped at home long enough to eat dinner with his wife & kids !

We met at my jobsite (vacant house in Garland ) that night , and I showed him each of the items on the inspectors list that had to be repaired. I asked him if it would be o.k. for me to use my Home Depot card to purchase the materials he would need (since cash is tight at the moment till this house sale closes ) and he said ""No problem"". He quoted me a bid for the entire job that I thought was VERY fair, less than I had expected and on a couple of items I asked about he said "" I'm just doing that for free, it's included in the bid "" ! W-O-W ! We agreed to meet there early the next morning.

Bright & early, sure enough, Peter was there and quickly began to systematically go from repairing one electric problem to the next. The man is a MASTER ELECTRICIAN not a handyman, not a journeyman, but a man who knows what he is doing ! His knowledge of a variety of different types of electric problems and how to resolve them is extensive. He installed a needed component on the hot water heater to bring it code compliant, replaced a bathroom exhaust fan/light combo (requiring some hot attic time) repaired an outdoor grounding unit in the pool area, installed several new light kits on ceiling fans, replaced light & dimmer switches, etc. etc. - and never even stopped to take a break !

Once all the repairs had been completed , Peter went from room to room cleaning up all the old electric parts & repair debris from each place he had worked. Start to finish EVERYTHING was done in about three hours ! We walked through the house checking every item he had repaired and everything was working great . I could not be a happier customer.

This is one hard working young man, running an independant business, taking pride in his work and treating his customers fairly and honestly. He knows his trade and performs his craftsmanship with integrity and honor. I am proud to highly reccomend Peter for ANY kind of electrical work that you might need to have done !

I found this business through Yelp. I had used Milestone a few times and got fed up with their outrageous prices, so decided to look for someone else. I decided to go with B&C because it had the highest ratings, and let me tell you, I am so glad I did! I was having a problem with one of my breakers, and Peter, the owner of the business, came out to have a look. He was very accommodating of my schedule. He told me I needed to have my entire panel replaced, as it was old and out of code and had a history of problems. I'd already been told this by Milestone in the past, but they wanted to charge me an outrageous amount of money to have it replaced (money I didn't have). Peter quoted me a price less than HALF of what Milestone wanted to charge me. Needless to say, I was thrilled. He gave me a temporary fix for my problem until he could come back out and replace the panel. We set up a time for him to come back out a couple of weeks later, and again was very accommodating of my schedule. I couldn't be happier with the work he did. He didn't want to leave until he knew everything worked and I was satisfied with everything. He even subtracted the amount he charged me for his initial service call from the cost of the panel replacement job. I will be calling Peter for all of my electrical needs in the future.

I've had the pleasure to have Peter do my electrical work for many years, starting at my first house almost 10 years ago. Haven't had the need for any electrical work for the last few years. I recently moved into another place and needed an electrician, and called Peter. He remembered me and was very responsive and got me taken care off above and beyond what I expected. Very professional and tidy. Definitely recommend!

I agreed to replace a Federal Pacific panel for my home buyer and went to Google to locate an electrician. B&C appeared to have experience with panel replacements and had positive reviews - so I called.

Peter, the company owner, agreed to come to my home that evening around 7PM. He reviewed the situation and explained that the new panel could not be placed in the closet where the existing one had been for the last 30 years. He proposed placing it on the outside wall opposite the placement of the existing panel, a solution he said he had employed many times. Peter worked up a quote while at the house, which we discussed and which he emailed to me on the spot. I had asked for additional work involving GFI wall plugs around the house and to trouble-shoot some non-working light switches. He gave me a fair price, answered all my questions, and committed to commence the job and have it completed by early the following week. I hired him on the spot and he asked if he could get started on trouble-shooting the light switches. He stayed until 8:30PM and had all my lighting issues corrected.

Peter called me early on 1/29 to say he was on his way to my home to install the panel. He showed up promptly to start the job, he kept me apprised throughout the day, e.g., when power would be taken down, exactly where the panel would be placed. My power was re-started before darkness fell. He came back the following morning to complete the panel labeling and to install 10-12 GFIs. He showed me all the completed work, all of with which I was highly satisfied.

* As an added benefit to me, Peter did the following: he looked at my cooktop switch, diagnosed it as the reason for the burner not working, took pictures of the switch part, and - on his own time - went to a wholesale parts store the next day and ordered the replacement part for me. I picked up the part, installed in myself, and saved a ton of money.

Should anyone need highly professional electrical panel replacement work by a hard-working, very personable and courteous man at a fair price - I highly recommend a contact with Peter at B&C Electric.

I just moved to the area and didn't have any contacts, but found Peter through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. He installed 3 light fixtures and was super helpful in working on a tricky chandelier. Very fair, very nice, and just a great experience. Would totally use him again!

Situation: All our relatives will be at our house in a few days for the Christmas holiday. But the outside of our house is dark because the festive Christmas lights I decorated the house with stopped working.
I traced the problem to the external wall outlet by our front door. I tested the outlet with other devices and got no power. I removed the cover plate to check the wiring and found no electrical short or burnt wire damage. The wall plug was fine. I checked the breaker panel in the back of my house and didn't find any tripped breakers. Hmm...no choice left but to call out an electrician.
I researched various electricians by surfing the web and reading reviews which led me to Peter at B&C Electric. After speaking to Peter for a few minutes I found out I live outside his service area but he was still willing to make the long drive out to my neighborhood. Another call interrupted our conversation so he said he would call me back. Meanwhile I was left with a decision to make: should I do more research and find a different electrician who is in my area or wait for Peter to call back and see if we could work out a fair deal for both of us? I decided to wait for Peter's call even though I wasn't sure he would call back since I was hesitant to pay extra for him to make the trip out to my neighborhood.
Not only did he call back but he helped me troubleshoot the issue further while on the phone. His years of experience identified the exact problem which I was able to resolve with a push of a button. I would have never found the problem/resolution on my own. Peter took the time to help me out even though he made zero $$$ from me. The average price for an electrician to come out and fix a wall outlet is $200. The service with integrity that Peter extended to me is priceless! Peter operates B&C Electric like a good neighbor who is always ready and willing to lend a helping hand.

I had Peter evaluate an old panel. He gave me the straight skinny on it (didn't need replacement-- Whew!). Had him put in a couple of outlets for specialized uses. Very professional, including thorough clean up. Competitive rate, yelp coupon made it better for me.

Great Experience!

I called Peter at 9:00 AM to rewire some our exisiting electrical, install a new switch and a new junction box in the ceiling for a new fan. He was at our house at Noon. We have an old house so this was not easy. A large portion of the work was in our attic and as it is early September the attic was extremely hot, upwards of 130 degrees.

Peter did all the work with no complaints in about 2 hours including helping us install our ceiling fan which was a very complicated model. He volunteered to do this on his own. If we would have done it would have probably taken a full day and would not have been fun.

I can only second Renee's A+ recommendation and say that I was overly satisfied. I will call him next time no question and I am sure there will be a next time. I have worked for a large commercial contractor and even some of the best electricians were not as educated and professional as him. Great Job!
