We hired Bay Valley Electric for our kitchen remodel. They sent over Sebastian and he did an awesome job doing a panel upgrade and changed all my lights to LED. I picked out light pendants to hang over my island and he installed it to the perfect height. I will definitely hire them again for all my electrical needs.

No heat or hot water over the coldest night of the year! Got a hold of Robert at 7:00 and he sent Sebastian right over. They located a replacement for my obsolete 150A breaker, Sebastian fought road closures (they're repaving my street) twice each way and by 11:00 I was thawing out, getting ready for a hot bath. Sebastian! My entryway light was giving so much trouble, he responded so promptly and came out to assess the problem. I've known Robert since he did the electrical for our bathrooms remodel with a high end build and design firm, about 12 years ago. From that moment on, Robert has been our go-to electrician, and I've referred numerous friends to them as well. Robert and Sebastian are simply the best! They get everything done perfectly, quickly, and they are always in a great humor and fun to be around. As well, Robert has spotted and corrected several issues on our home while he was here doing something completely else. Mysterious flickering walkway lights that would go on and off...but only when it rained? Problem solved. Light switch that seemed overly warm to the touch? Circuit was overloaded---fixed it in 25 minutes. He and Sebastian are loved by designers, and can figure out solutions to tricky design issues. Our just-finished kitchen remodel came out beautifully, and the whole thing was painless. We wouldn't use anyone else.

I needed some electrical work in a cranky old 40s vintage home. I thought I'd get quotes from a couple of licensed contractors. Robert stood out because he came when he said he would, and offered some thoughtful solutions that saved me a few bucks.

Work-wise, everything was done tidily. It came in on-time and on-budget, which was a relief.

I've worked with Robert and Sebastian for four jobs. They did a good job for each one. They did a new 90 amp conduit on the roof from my main panel to a sub-panel. It passed inspection with no problems. They cleaned up some wiring for lighting in an eichler for me and made it look much better. They replaced some lights for me as well. Their team has always been very pleasant to interact with, and I've been happy with their work. I'll hire them again.

If I could give 6 stars, I would.
After researching for about a few days, we were recommended by friends to Bay Valley Electric after they had their brand new house wired for them down in Los Altos. We called Bay Valley and spoke with Robert about looking to have our lights and switches retrofitted and remodeled throughout the house. Robert suggested upgrading to LED, as it would not only be a cleaner light, but also financially friendly in the long run, along with upgrading all the fixtures, including switches, to have a more modern feel to tie together with the rest of our home. They spent roughly a full work day redoing all the lights, in a very professional but personable, and timely manner. Robert and his employee Sebastian came out with their gear, didn't make a mess they couldn't clean up, and seemed to appreciate the delicateness of my home.
I will recommend Robert and Sebastian from my personal experience to work on anyone's property. Thank you for making my home look beautiful!

Bay Valley Electric has been my 100% ""go to"" company for over 16 years. Not only have I had them install fairly extensive electrical work in my past 3 commercial/industrial business locations, I also have used them for work in my own home. I think it is amazing that they have jobs ranging from tech company server rooms to custom 12,000 square ft. Atherton homes to small industrial buildings. During the past 16 or so years, Bob at Bay Valley has been nothing but friendly, reliable, and fair. Their work is absolutely of the highest quality as they have fixed many issues caused by previous professional electricians. Bay Valley is not your over-night side work shop. They do things correctly the first time, and other contractors have even complimented Bay Valley's work as other professionals often notice the little things that we don't. On top of their great work, I appreciate the fact that Bay Valley's employees always do a perfect job cleaning up after the work is done. They show a lot of respect for my property and the areas where they are working which is a huge plus in my book as I absolutely hate writing checks for an invoice and then getting the mop and broom out to clean up after a contractor leaves. All the above is why they deserve 5 stars!!!!
