I want to add yet another 5 star rating for Berkeley Home Repair. Although we have hired other contractors in the past, few were as determined as Damon and his entire crew were to make certain we were totally pleased with the finished job. Big thanks to Brian, Robert and Alexi for the professional job as well as Damon and Trish for keeping the project on track and on time. Our guest room/office and bathroom remodel is exactly what we had envisioned. Damon even sent a color consultant who helped us select the perfect colors (thanks John). For future jobs we won't hesitate to have them work on our home again.

Brian and Roberto were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. They were easily able to solve the problem with my electrical sockets and kept the work within the time allotted for assessing the problem. So the cost of their visit was very reasonable. This contractor really is as good as it gets. Brian is knowledgeable in construction as well as HVAC, and goes far and beyond to make things work. Damon and Trish do a great job, together, and their estimates are fair and clear. Even when the job takes longer than expected or is more complicated, they do not increase the price. Roberto is creative and has good solutions, too. I'm happy with Berkeley Home Repair and look forward to the next project with them on my home.

Damon and Brian really took great care of the leaking problem with my kitchen sink and a challenging electrical issue. Communication was great throughout, and both were very professional.

Even though wiring up a knob and tube set of switches to work as three-way lights took a lot of ingenuity and went way over time, Brian kept at it and never made me feel like I was anything other than his most important client. There wasn't ever a question about the extra charges for that, either, even though it was not discovered how old the wiring was until it was opened up.

For the sink, it turned out that the air gap hose still had a leak the day after, and Damon wrote back to me immediately (after midnight, even!) to schedule a follow up the next day. Brian again made it all right.

Customer service this fantastic is very rare these days. Even during the estimate phase, Brian, Damon and Tricia were responsive, friendly, and on time. Their bid came in as one of the lowest and we decided to go with them based on what we were reading on Yelp. So glad we did.

Brian re-piped our entire house with copper and while a few things did not go according to plan and the work went longer than we had hoped - some due to our ancient plumbing, faulty fixtures and plaster walls, one or two due to the actual work, and one old issue that we realized and added to the job in the middle of things - he and the whole team worked immediately and tirelessly to make everything right, with zero extra charge or bad attitude, even when the fault was our old house. Plus, Brian is just a really good guy, super punctual, friendly, and a hard worker. Damon and Tricia were on the phone with us, or at our home, immediately when they knew of the slightest issues, and helpful and friendly at every turn.

When they left our house this morning, our very low water pressure problems are gone, the hot water runs hotter (as it should), we have a fancy new kitchen faucet and showerhead (courtesy of them), and a 3-year old problem with crossed lines out of our tankless water heater, that we knew nothing about, is fixed.

Plus, we feel like we have new friends, due to how they treated us so respectfully and generously when things weren't going so well in the middle of the job.

We would not hesitate to hire them again. They are the real deal!

Daniel fixed a trash disposal switch and replaced a dishwasher cord. It was not easy moving the washer, and Daniel did such a good job maneuvering it back in place, it's now easier to open and more even with the counter since the day it was installed!
