Bruce Banning and Son created a wall niche for my television and it looks great! They also did some miscellaneous electrical work. They were always on time, always very professional, and always meticulous. I recommend them highly. They were also a pleasure to work with.

I had some water damage to a wall. Banning and Son did a remarkable job. They told me the job would take about a week. They stuck to the timeline. They were CLEAN. It's hard to be clean when you are ripping out a wall, treating it and rebuilding it, but these guys never left a mess. They were all so friendly and I never felt uncomfortable with them in my home. The water damage affected our fireplace mantel. They rebuilt the base of the fire place mantel exactly as it was before. I will hire them again in the future. Hopefully for fun things like a bathroom or kitchen remodel. But if I ever have water damage or any sort of emergency I know I can count on them to get me through it.

We contacted Bruce when we were dealing with an urgent repair issue on our windows. He came over to help us evaluate the problem (the other contractor we called didn't even return the call) and helped us find an inexpensive and relatively simple solution. He was helpful, friendly, responsive, and clearly wasn't just trying to make a buck off of us, even though he could have. Based on my experience, I'd recommend him as a trustworthy and worthy option for your contracting needs.

THE WORST, UNETHICAL contractor you may encounter in your life time. If you want poor quality work for unjustifiable high price, then this is your best choice. he can't keep timelines and will end up charging you double or triple of what the promised price, he may seem nice in the beginning when he wants to get the job, but will come back and bite you soon-after.
Pros: licensed, access to material
Cons: no price commitment, no timeline commitments, poor quality, overcharge and hidden charges.

I was very satisfied with their work. They did a great job installing tile in my kitchen. They put tremendous effort and quality in their job and left my house crisp clean. Jason kept me updated daily during the process. I truly recommend them if you are interested in quick and quality work.

We had Banning and Son remodel our kitchen and install wood flooring throughout the kitchen, dining room, stairwell and living room. When the job was complete though, because of some miss-communications between us both, I had some concerns with the kitchen flooring, but felt like they had just abandoned us without a final walk through, goodbye, or thank you. I admit that during my frustration, I should have called Bruce with my concerns, before writing about my displeasure on Yelp. I have removed that review though, because Bruce immediately contacted me, and apologized for his staff not conducting a final walk through. He personally came back out to inspect, and arranged to repair the areas of my concerns. The problems were fixed shortly after his inspection. So, all-in-all I feel that they did a great job with our construction, and I'm pleased with Bruce's dedication to ensuring that his customers are completely satisfied with their work.

UPDATED- I am changing this review to 4 stars because the owner Bruce has been in contact with me a few times to help resolve issues. They have changed some of their staff so hoping to use them again and not have the same issues this time.


I really wanted to love these contractors. They were super friendly and very helpful with my transition from VA to CA. They did some work on the beams while I was still in VA and it all went smoothly. Jason was great when I was communicating with him. Once I got here things changed. They didn't do requested work after numerous requests. Billing sent me the wrong invoice. They left a mess in my garage, and my backyard is full of drywall and paper towels wadded up. After requesting them to come back to clean up they did clean up the garage, did an ok job but it still needs a deep clean from all the drywall. They never put the screens back in, and came about a week later to do so. I also asked them to remove the contractor lock box and return my key.. Come to find they lost my key. A week has gone by now and no follow up with where the key is or if they will be paying to have the locks changed due to their negligence. I still have more work to be done which I requested multiple times but due to their lack of follow up I will not be using them.

Very poor quality work for unjustifiable high price, promised certain work for certain price, ended paying double cost for garbage and incomplete work, he claimed purchased materials that does not exist , and all lies in amount and prices, took way longer than what promised ....beware from such unethical contractors.

I recently had a complete remodel done on my 1110 sq. ft. 2 bed/2 bath condo by Banning & Son contractors.  The owner, Bruce, was very involved to make sure any issues were taken care of efficiently and told me to call him anytime if I had questions or issues.  Jason, the foreman on my job, checked in with me almost every morning to discuss current issues and ensure the job was being completed to my liking. I was also very pleased with the work crew and their professionalism.  They worked very efficiently as a team, completing the job in just one month.  This was important to me since I moved out to a rental unit April 1 and was able to move back in to my condo by the end of the month.  I was impressed they were able to install my new kitchen and bathrooms, soundproof the ceiling, re-mud all the walls and ceiling, install new LED can lights and other lighting fixtures, new flooring and paint in such a short time.  Everything is new and beautifully done.  They cleaned up each day before leaving and did a thorough cleaning at the end of the job, washing down the front walkways and even cleaning all the windows.  I feel their prices are very fair for all the work done.  I highly recommend Banning & Son for any contracting work.
