We just completed a kitchen renovation and needed an electrician to add some new electrical outlets and upgrade existing ones. We got an estimate from another electrician before calling George. This was our first estimate and I was shocked at how expensive it was going to be.

I used Bajada Electric before for a smaller job and was very happy with their work. I called George to look at my job and give me an estimate. George and Joe came to discuss my needs and I realized that I needed more work done than I originally thought and I was grateful for their attention to detail to make sure we covered everything we would need for our new kitchen. Ultimately we decided to go with Bajada Electric because I was confident with their work and their pricing was very reasonable.

After making the original plan for what we needed done, Joe and Oscar started work. First of all Joe was very patient and accommodating to work with me in scheduling a start time for his work. I was managing our project myself and had to schedule activities in a specific order and timing and Joe worked with me to accommodate the timing I needed to start the electrical work. I really appreciated that because I know how busy they all were.

Joe and Oscar showed up on time when we finally got a start date and boy were they great to work with. They both paid such attention to detail and explained things to me whenever I had any questions. Oscar did a lot of the initial work with changing out the old lines and running the new lines. As with Joe, Oscar was awesome. He worked so hard and was receptive to my checking in and asking questions. I feel like I got to know him a little and felt like he was a lot like my own son. It was a pleasure having them both in my home.

We feel that one of the major highlights of our kitchen renovation is our new electrical! That says a lot because we love everything about our new kitchen. They did such an amazing job with attention to detail like making sure all new outlets were all at the same level. We did not have this before. Joe even recommended outlet covers that didn't show the screws. We just loved that! We now have a new sub-panel that controls all of the lighting in our kitchen and it is neatly labeled. He also installed some new track lights in the kitchen. This was added on later and he added it without question. When it came time for the Inspection, it passed inspection in the 1st visit without any corrections.

On top of all of this we had an issue with lights flickering on and off in the main house and we called Joe to see if he could take a look at the problem. He showed up with very little notice and helped diagnose the problem which turned out to be a PGE issue.

Overall I am giving Bajada Electric a 5 Star Review! They will be our electricians from now on for any job we need done. Thank you George, Joe and Oscar. You are the BOMB!

We have used Joe Bajada and his team on multiple occasions now. Joe is probably the most professional and courteous contractor I have met! He is curious, enjoy his trade, strives to be the best and is not afraid of complicated projects that require high degree of problem solving. He always delivers and always in a respectful way. On top of that, the invoice is reasonable.

If you hire Joe you will quite literally get the best of the best, which means its a privilege. As with any other privilege, it comes at a cost, and in this case the cost could be longer response times than for some other less good contractors. I have found myself willing to wait every simple time and will do so for as long as Joe is willing to work on my projects.

After George had done some (good) work on a commercial building my family owns in San Mateo I felt confident to recommend him to a friend of mine in Menlo Park. Bad idea. After an initial inspection where he is extremely friendly and starts the job he disappears! After many unreturned calls my friend had to get me to phone him to finally return a phone call. His refusal to return phone calls makes you wonder what's going on with him. I felt so bad for getting my buddy mixed up with George I felt a duty to post this negative review.
Be warned- he will be peaches and cream in the beginning and then leave you high and dry.

Be warned, I had a terrible experience with Bajada Electric. I was upgrading my electrical panel box with a new box and all new breakers as my old panel was arching and starting to fail. The owner was very nice and knowledgeable about is work and I must say he did a good job. Here comes the but: He changed the box in one day so we were not left without power and this took months before he finally came out to do the job after repeatability calling him and hearing one excuse after another so I thought this was a one time thing, but boy was I wrong. He was coming back to install the ground rod in the ground and after calling and calling he finally came out weeks later so now the last step was to have the city inspector come out to approve it. I called Bajada Electric and begged him to call me back and set up a date with the city inspector but no return call for three weeks so I called and left a message telling him he must call me back today or else I will call the city and handle it myself. the inspector came out and was not happy at all the electrician would not show up. so, my opinion is do not do business with this company unless you want to get the run around and not have your work done in 9 months when it should only take a week to get everything done. Enough said and think twice about doing business with this company

How disappointing - we contacted him for appointment, arrived late due to traffic had a great appointment and told him we wanted to do business with him. Went out, purchased the items he needed, and he's never returned our numerous phone calls again. This is the type of service we all fear as consumers.
