Our bathtub flooded in the second floor during the night, we scheduled Badgers Bobs services for a free estimate to come look at the damage and find the cause of the leak. They came to our house and cut a hole in our dining room ceiling where they thought the leak was, then cut again and again till they found the pipes, once found they spent an hour talking and trying to find the leak, they found no leak, then told me they were charging me as they had to cut a hole in my ceiling which isn't part of their free estimate ( this was not communicated) and then they left without cleaning up the mess they made on the floor And sent me a bill in the mail. We then had to hire a different and better company to come out and do the same job but they actually found the issue. When asked about charging for a free estimate they said it was the fee for having them drive out to your house, so the estimate isn't really free. $89.00 for someone to come out to my house, cut a hole in the roof, leave a mess, and then have to hire some one else. Pretty awful.

Minor refrigerator repair (ice dispenser flapper became dislodged) took 3 times longer because technician unfamiliar with model. He said part was broken and was going to order a new one. It did not look broken to me so I suggested he try again to put part back in. It worked. I paid $100/hour to train the tech in addition to $89 for service call. When I called for the appointment I was not told that service call charge did not apply to any labor, which has been my experience with other vendors.
First and last time I will use their services.

After three calls and no help, I have still not received a quote for a new water heater. I have been told by the operator that the plumbing manager has the information and will get back to me soon. Its been four days and no quote nor a heads about anything. If you feel like being hung out to dry give them a try. I really wanted to give the business to them and they are just around the corner from my home.

My AC stopped working I called Badger Bob for a second opinion after the first company adviced to replace my whole unit outside and inside too.

Badger Bob was overall good if you have the money to spend....and don't mind tk throw out something that might be otherwise fixable.
They are one of the biggest company that advertis in SW Florida.
First they sent an ac technician whom checked on my ac,than a comforting agent to represent the price.
The whole thing (technician check and pricing)was done in a day,but I still had to miss work waiting around.
Their estimate was at the middle price range.
With different warranty options and fine print at the end....
Well the 4th company who I had out giving me a ""second"" opinion get my AC back and running for $50!!!!
It might be a temporary fix,but at least I was given a chance by the other company to get my ac fixed instead of changing the whole unit.
So I'll definitely not use Badger Bob at the future and don't recommend them because they haven't even tried to fix my ac just wanted to sell me a new unit....
What I learnt from this is always shop around,just like when you buying a vehicle.
When you call an ac company second opinion is always free!!!
And it is a good way to check their honesty and fair business practices.
Only go with Badger Bob if you are desperate,have no other choice plus don't mind spending too much.

I needed to replace the air conditioning system for my newly purchased house in Sarasota and have some electrical work done (we havent moved in yet). After booking appointments for an electrician and a A/C estimate a week prior, the electrician failed to show up. The A/C estimator did show up and said maybe the other guy was ""under stress'. I decided not to utilize their services. A wasted 1 hour drive from Rotonda West and back...

Called because of no cold air 34 days after maintenance done. Told out of 30 day warranty. Freon had leaked out due to stuck valve. Either their maintenance guy didn't check or he stuck the valve. Either way, it was his negligence. Complained to company. What did I hear. Crickets.

I've been using Badger Bob's for about 3 years for my HVAC needs for two HVAC units doing twice a year maintenance on them and repairs if needed. So far they've been very good. Both units were originally installed by other HVAC companies, one of which went out of business a few years after installing. After that unit needed repair, it wasn't clear if the manufacturer's extended 10-year warranty covered labor or not. I called the office and received a prompt call back from Armando the operations manager and he was very professional and took care of it, as labor was covered. About a week ago, I renewed for another year, and I look forward to continuing with them for a long time.

Second time I used them, even better than my first. Called at 9AM, they took my information; had a call from the dispatcher by 10AM, there was a plumber here by noon. Polite and knowledgeable guy; wore a mask into my home. Diagnosed my garbage disposal problem, recommended good-better-best solutions, and had the new disposal in my sink by 1:30. Area was clean and cleared of water and repair debris. Waived the visit fee (because of the purchase), then tightened my faucet handle and inspected my water heater, with good explanations for both.

Won't hesitate to call them again.

Had a leaking toilet. Had a ""handyman"" change the flapper and try to identify the leak. Changed some washers and leak was minimal .. one drop or two after a flush. That was last June. Left for summer, returned after house cleaner had done a great job in October. She unknowingly reactivated the leak. Screws had enlarged the holes after 32 years of use. Called 2 plumbing services. One never returned my call. One returned after a recall. Price was $96 arrival fee for first Thirty minutes. Asked for quote for replacement with ADA height. $675. No guarantees on product if I provide it. Charge per hour for work.
Badger Bob has done work for us 3 years ago. Just forgot. Called at 3P on Tuesday, scheduled for Wednesday. Elected to have 2 commodes replaced. Did so at similar price. Great service Plumber Ian. Respecting CoViD precaution .... didn't complain when I changed my mind and he had to go back to pick up another commode.

So disappointed in the customer service I received tonight. My A/C stopped working. I had used Badger Bob's in the past and was pleased with the service so I called them for emergency service and was willing to pay the $75 after hour fee. I was having problems with my phone so I kept an eye on any calls coming in. I missed two calls (last one at 8:30) but called them back immediately and was told they would contact the tech and tell him I was waiting. I decided to shut my phone down and turn it back on and that seemed to fix the problem of my phone not ringing. I then waited for another hour but did not receive any calls and the tech did not show up. I called back and was told they would dispatch the tech again and he would call me ASAP. Again I waited another hour and called back asking for an ETA. I was told that my record showed the job had been completed. I explained that was wrong and the tech had never shown up. I was told that it must be their software and they would once again dispatch the tech and he would call me ASAP. My last call was at 11:40pm and still no call and no tech. I was told by Aneshia, who was not very nice, that the office closed at 5pm and if the tech had not shown up by now, then he would not be showing up. At this point, it was too late for me to go anywhere else to sleep. Terrible customer service and very disappointed in a company I had used in the past. I will be looking for a different company to fix my A/C in the morning, but tonight I am struggling to sleep in a 85 degree temp. Thank you Badger Bob's!


UPDATE...so after the fiasco last night, the office manager called me first thing this morning. She explained that the answering service they used are to dispatch the calls immediately to the technician. Obviously that did not happen last night. She sent a tech out first thing this morning, waived the calling fee and I received a 15% discount for the inconvenience I went through. The tech, Victor was wonderful and lived up to Badger Bob's reputation that I had come to know despite the disappointment last night due to the answering service. My A/C was repaired and running within 20 minutes of his arrival. All is good again with Badger Bob's
