We called Bacon to do some plumbing repairs at a fitness facility. One shower drain in the women's room was stopped up, and one toilet in the men's room had a broken drainpipe. They quoted us $20K for the job. We told them to go ahead with the repairs. After working for a couple of hours, one of their supervisors, Blake Mata, told us we needed to replace ALL of the plumbing in the building at a cost of $117K more! We had already paid them half of their original estimate which they asked for, to cover the work they had already done. Then we refused what was an obvious rip-off. We told them to stop working and leave the tunnels and holes open so we could have someone else finish the job. Instead, they refilled the tunnels, poured new concrete into the holes and left. Then, without our knowledge or approval, they charged our credit card another $10.7K. Apparently, that was for refilling the holes, which we specifically told them not to do. I highly recommend avoiding this company. If you've already been ripped off by Bacon, do what I did and send an official complaint to the TEXAS STATE BOARD OF PLUMBING EXAMINERS. With enough complaints, maybe the state will pull their license and put these predators out of business!

If I could, there would not even be a one star. This company bases their work by lying to their customers. From the upper management to the sales reps, to the worker, my entire project has been much more than a cluster $@&!. They cut into my rafters in the ceiling, ended up having to replace 4 of them by ripping off my roof. They told me lie after lie after lie, from the General Manager Steve to the Tech Guy Reece to the installers. I would not hire this company to pick up dog crap in my back yard. They can't even keep an appointment to meet with the city inspector. In fact, they didn't even pull a permit until they got busted by us asking for one. I would suggest, if you ever do have them to your property, if the tech says his name is Reece, do not believe a word out of his mouth. If he is breathing, he is lying. General Manager is not much better. NOT EVERYONE LOVE'S THIS BACON. I have also found out, through their employee's that lying and telling people they need a unit, when they don't, is standard practice. I could go on but I won't. Use anybody else, anybody, your bother - In- Law, your mother, your great grandma, before you use this company. I honestly cannot understand how they stay in business. If it were up to me and I could, I would shut them down, con artist is all they are.

We have used Bacon to maintain our HVAC, plumbing, and tankless water heater. We had them install a surge protector and even recommended them to some friends. Our tankless water heater stopped working on Saturday, and we naturally called Bacon to come out and look at it ASAP. A plumber came out Sunday and told us it was probably the control panel, and it was most likely due to a power surge. But it could be more than that, and he wasn't sure if he could find the part. He let us know that our hot water was not a good one and may not last even with the repair. They had good ones. They would cost about $5000, and we would need to have concrete work done. He came back with the electrician today, and we were given an estimate of about $800 to replace the control panel (hopefully that would solve the problem). Those visits cost us $435. (BTW, they determined the problem wasn't caused by an electrical surge. ) We called another plumber. It was a bad wire. $150. Fixed on the spot.

If there was a ZERO STAR option that's what I'd give Bacon Air Conditioning! We called them on a Sunday evening because our AC went out..they were open and we were desperate but it was a waste of $150. The guy diagnosed our issue and told us the motor needed to replaced in the attic portion of the system. He told us that would run 3k and he wouldn't be able to get a motor for 1-2 weeks (keep in mind it's July and 100°) but he could replace the ENTIRE ATTIC PORTION the next day for 7k!!!! He knew we were desperate and was playing on that to rip our wallet open. At that point I knew what he was doing and asked my husband to send him on his way. With that being said, we had a technician from another company come out this morning who actually drove all the way from Greenville to Carrollton and back for the motor that was needed, replaced it the same day (before lunch) and charged $1,101 for the entire repair and our air is working great now! Bacon PRICE GOUGES and I DO NOT recommend!

The is full A to Z review on the process of using Bacon Plumbing Heating Air Electrical. From the start I received a text with ETA and a link that allowed me to track the person on the way to my house, in addition I was sent a picture of who to expect. I have a only a few companies do the picture will admit it helps to feel comfortable and the tracking is just nice to know a more exact ETA.
The first interaction was with Brad who examined my house and old units, my units were 18 years old and one had completely died so was looking for replacement. He asked about any issues I was having and what was important to me. Explained the tonnage calculation. He quickly worked up estimates with three options; good, better, best. After researching both the brands, units I went with the middle option which was not that much more than the lower option and I got increased SEER efficiency and full 10 years of parts and labor, which was explained all I do is call them if something happens in the next 10 years and it is covered. I also researched the BBB for any complaints on Bacon and while there were some, each one was resolved and explained by the company. This was not the case for every company I looked at.
Once I made the decision the install was able to be scheduled for the next day, this was great considering had been without one unit for almost a month at this point.
The day of the install started off with great communication, who was coming, what time and even when the electrician had a flat on the way, it was communicated and an alternate tech was routed. Before they started the lead tech, Andrew, asked me questions and explained the process and kept me updated along the way. Two crews of HVAC techs went to work and by 9:00 had the old equipment out and were already starting on the install. He asked if I had questions and the only one I had was do they clean out the system after they braze the copper pipe and do they fully vacuum the lines before freon is added. Everything I had read was the install process was more important the brand purchased. He informed me they do all that and more and they take videos, pictures and inspect the entire line for leaks before they leave. Before they started, drop clothes and plastic was put down to protect the carpet.
Despite the heat, they worked tirelessly and observed how careful they were bringing out the old equipment from the attic as to not damage walls or doors.
About a week later an inspection follow-up was scheduled. Chad showed up and the week living with the system gave me a chance to learn of any hot or cold spots, where airflow was low or high and try to learn the new Google NEST thermostats. He adjusted the flow to a few areas and corrected all the spots and set up the thermostats to do what I wanted them to do, funny before the install did not think I would want Wi-Fi enabled thermostats but now that I have them I am glad they included them.
Given the quality of the install, the price, and the warranty on equipment and labor plus a year of the their service that includes checking the units twice a year, plumbing and electrical inspections I am very happy I went with Bacon. Understand the real test will be over the next 10 years so will keep this updated.

They rip your pocket!! They charge additional $150 for showing up over weekends. A small capacitor replacement charge is roughly $400.

I had Bacon come out to repair my A/C unit after $1000 worth of repair they told me I needed another $5000 more repairs so they talked me into replacing my complete unit. Now they installed a new unit and it can't cool my house down under 73 degrees where my old unit could cool my house below 65 with no problem. I've had them come out several times and they keep telling me different things like I don't have enough insulation in my attic or there isn't any A/C unit that will cool below 70 degrees when it's 100 degrees outside. My old unit worked great for 10 years and thier new more efficient unit can't handle warm weather. You would think $20,000 would buy a great air-conditioning unit.
DONT USE BACON THEY LIE AND CHEAT.
I will keep calling them until they fix my a/c right. They will probably tell me that my house sits in such a way the sun shines on it more and that's why it gets hot but, for more money there can do something about it.

I had a slow leak in my kitchen sink found Bacon on the internet offering a 99 dollar drain cleaning. I called and scheduled an appointment for someone to come snake my drain through the clean out at the back of my house. Blake arrived and got his equipment a snake and a camera he got started with the snake within 2 minutes his equipment failed and he lost the end of his snake he then sent in the camera which went dark almost instantly he then informed me i had a broken drain pipe he used a locating device which told him where the camera stopped and showed me in the kitchen were the break in the pipe was located and they would have to dig through my kitchen floor to get access to be able to repair the pipe and informed me it would cost $4780.00 for this repair Wow what a shock a 99 dollar drain clean was now almost a $5000.00 dollar job. Which they could start early the next morning they arrived early the next day and jack hammered through my kitchen floor then dig out the dirt till they reached the pipe they located the pipe and found no broken pipe they cut through the pipe now looking for what was blocking the pipe turned out to be a clog of grease which with a different snake where able to clear the blockage no problem they replaced the section of pipe they had cut out and checked if the drain was draining it was flowing good the even checked at the clean out in front of the house and said its was draining good working great. So if Blake which was a manager would have gotten another snake after his broke they could of avoided digging through my kitchen floor and it would of been a 99 dollar job. But Blake had insisted it was a broken pipe wanting to sell the big job which cost me $4780.00 at this point he had already looked at the rest of my plumbing which was and is working fine no problems and informed me he would replace all the drain pipes under my home all the way to the street for $39000.00 just shy of 40 grand then he said he would do the whole job for $30,000.00 and i wouldnt have to pay the $4780.00 which was a job that wasnt needed to start with. I have been discussing this with senior management which basically telling me thats not what happened . Then he suggested they hydro jet my plumbing then look for damage with the camera my home is 52 years old with cast iron pipes. if you google hydro jetting drain pipes it says its not recommmened to hydro jet older homes with original cast iron pipes would cause major damage. But a supervisor wants to do this to my home they know it will damage my pipes if not they shouldnt be in the plumbing business . I had to finally just tell him no to prevent further damage to my home. Which at this time all my drains are working great it should of costed me $99 dollars but Blakes mistake cost me $4780.00 which they are not owning up to Blakes wrong asesment STAY AWAY FROM BACON PLUMBING THEY SEND OUT SALES PEOPLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE.

Had a rental with tenant complaining about the AC not running cold and freezing up at time. The technician came out and after diagnosing, told me that the coil is leaking freon and that the system needs replacing. Offered to sell me a $14,000 system after his scare tactic. Got a second opinion, which only cost me $59 to find out that the filter was very dirty and needed replacing. There was no leak and no freon loss.
