Company Overview

B and O Electric Company was founded in 1974 by Clyde Ognio and Marion Bennett. The early work of the company involved church and school projects. Marion Bennett left the company in the late 1970s to work for General Motors. B and O Electric Company became incorporated under Georgia law on March 22, 1984. As we grew, we discovered a stronger interest in industrial projects over our earlier work. We had the expertise and the team, so we pursued this direction and soon began working on controls for food processing plants. Our control projects have included systems for dry material storage, conveying, dough thickness, packaging, and conveyor management, among others. These systems were implemented using equipment such as programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, and soft starters.
