I did some remodeling and Andrei and Andrei have been excellent and professional. I needed a non-standard color for some receptacles and Andrei searched high and low to find them. As with most construction projects, timelines and plans were a moving target but Andrei was a great communicator and was flexible with change. Highly recommended!

Over the past 5+ years, Andrei has done a bunch of work in my house: completely rewired my kitchen, brought power to my roof deck, added lights to my kid's room, etc., etc.

Andrei is my go-to guy:
- Always responsive. Always picks up the phone.

I used AVS Electric (Andrei) to install three ceiling fans (including adding power to the location, cutting the ceiling, installing switches, and assembling the fans) and a chandelier. He was great at communicating - quoted me quickly, showed up on time, and was good about cleaning up after the work was done. Andrei did a very professional job and I'd highly recommend him. The work was done efficiently, within budget, and with a minimum of stress.

I was referred to AVS by my friend who had them do electrical for their commercial space. My job was a simple one - track lighting installation in my condo, but Andrei from AVS surpassed all expectations in terms of both execution and customer service.

My goal was to hire an electrician for the labor and buy my own track. I reached out to 2 other electricians for quotes and got back quite variance in quotes. When I reached out to Andrei, his price wasn't the lowest, but what set him apart was that he sent me the list of parts I would need to buy, including links to Amazon listings. The total cost savings here were huge - I was originally going to buy pre-assembled tracks, where the retail markup was significant. Getting the list of parts from Andrei saved me a lot, not to mention he could have tried to convince me to have him buy the tracks and mark them up (like other electricians did).

When it came to the actual installation, Andrei realized the track we purchased did not fit perfectly with the lights. With my permission, he went out to find a replacement piece and found the appropriately fitting track. When it came time to settle out costs, I asked for the cost of the track, assuming I would return my old track and pay for the new one Andrei purchased. Andrei put the new track ""on the house"", saying that it was his mistake for not sending me the right track. Really appreciated the high quality customer service here, went above and beyond what I've seen from other contractors.

In all interactions Andrei were on time, professional and polite and I couldn't recommend him and the team more.

I've hired Andrei Smirnov exclusively, ever since I first hired him several years ago to replace my electrical service panel at my house in San Francisco. When we moved to San Rafael in late 2013, Andrei was kind enough to come up to Marin to replace the old and dangerous electrical panel and sub-panel in the older home we bought, as well as to replace and rewire circuits in the kitchen and bathrooms that were far below code.

Last month, Andrei installed recessed LED lights throughout our home, as well as two ceiling fans, dimmer switches, and electrical outlets. He is great to work with, and offered excellent advice, while tracking down fixtures that were considerably less expensive than those proposed by the lighting designer that we had hired to create the lighting plan for the house.

I recommend AVS Electric with no hesitation whatsoever.

The contractor that worked on our kitchen messed up one section of our undercabinet lighting, and he never came back to fix it. Enter Andrei at AVS Electric to save the day! We got his name from Gary at KitchenSync who provided our cabinets (another great vendor!), and Andrei was professional and conscientious. We had an appointment and he had to cancel because of jury duty, but when he was released early, he called immediately and said he was available to come to our house. We were impressed! He had to come twice because he needed another part to complete the job, but not only did he make the light work again, he even went above and beyond and made sure it wouldn't go out in the future. We wish we had found AVS earlier, but now he'll definitely be someone we call for both big and small jobs!

I recently purchased an old Victorian house in San Francisco. When I had the inspections done, the inspector told me that I would need to upgrade the panel, wiring, and that most of the plugs are not grounded. So getting that work done was a priority of mine when I moved in a couple of weeks ago. I found Andrei (AVS Electric) on Yelp, and gave him a call on a Saturday (today). He came out the same day, took a look at the panel, wiring, and tested all the plugs in my house. He said the panel was old, but that there was no need to upgrade, and that all plugs save one were already grounded. He quickly fixed that plug. Professional, honest, fast...definitely will contact him first in the future for electrical projects that come up. Thanks, Andrei!
