I had the opportunity to work with Avant. Brian was great... knowledgeable & patient. Unfortunately, we were not able to use Brian & Avant due to unreasonable local regulations, but that had nothing to do with this vendor.

Ryan came over quickly and helped me with my kitchen lights. He also taught me a decent amount about my system (I inherited it from the previous homeowner). Brian was very helpful with the customer service - I noticed an issue with the invoice and he resolved it quickly.

The house was built in the lat 60""s the electrical wiring had to be updated. I called five company to give me an estimate. I armed myself questions about how and what are the process of rewiring a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, livingroom, family-room and kitchen with a total of 40 outlets. Two company was just going to change the outlets into a three prongs cover outlet which cost $3000-$5000! The other 2 are more knowledgeable of the work needed, but I had to do the legwork of getting the city permit, calling PG&E and cleaning up the mess it was going to create because they had to open up the wall outlets, patching up the holes, painting the walls and patching the stucco because of the panel update, estimate cost price of a RAM truck! And the work of these two company was going to take 1 1/2 months to complete! The house was vacant because its a rental.
Then came ERIC, asked what work was needed, he walked inside the house assessing what is needed, looked up the attic and the crawl space ( the other company did not do!) went in the garage then outside the house to check the panel (the other four company did not do!), then educate me about the panel he was to install. He then told me the process of the work which is the same as the other 2 company BUT, I had nothing to worry about because AVANT is doing everything needed and the work only took 2 WEEKS to complete, price tag cost half of what a RAM truck! Now BRIAN came along, kept me informed of the progress of the work. When the job was finished, BRIAN set up the appointment with PG&E, the city to check and approve their work. BRIAN also showed up for the appointment (which the other 2 company was not, its additional cost aside with their RAM truck price tag!) The inspector noticed the PG&E tag for the panel was missing and BRIAN explained, inspector was hesitant to approve until BRIAN suggested to reschedule the inspection, inspector did not want to reschedule, gave the approval and pass the inspection, instead! When I asked if that was the standard process of the inspection BRIAN said yes and PG&E is aware and will come by on a later date to install the tag. Few weeks later BRIAN inform me that PG&E has installed the tag and everything is DONE!
I am very grateful of the professional work AVANT did, they're very knowledgeable and hard-working, a great team of company that I definitely recommend!

We had to unexpectantly upgrade our panel from 100 amp to a 200 amp and we got several bids. This is a major project. When we chose Avant Electric it was based on many factors. They were mid-range in price but they seemed easy to work with and explained what needed to be done in detail and why. I have limited understanding of electrical and they were happy to work with me and put things in a way that I could understand them. They were always on time, very polite, and went above and beyond to get things right. When they ran into a snag, they figured out ways to make things work and did not charge me more even though the job took longer than they expected it to. Brian even pointed me to a tax rebate for $600 that I would not have known existed!! They were an awesome team of guys that I would highly recommend for any electrical work. You won't be disappointed by choosing Avant Electrical for your electrical needs.

Even though installation of our standby generator is still in process, I can't say enough about the excellent experience so far with Brian and his company, Avant. He was on-time with his initial appointment. He was thorough in his inspection. He took the time to answer questions and discuss pros and cons of various generator brands and types. His estimate was reasonable; his payment system is easy and efficient. Once the contract was signed, he was diligent keeping us updated on schedules. When the equipment was delivered early without his knowledge, he actually came out at midnight to ensure the generator was safely stored. His knowledge, cooperation, and work ethic are among the best I have ever encountered.

Once installation is complete, I will update this review if necessary. Based on our experience so far, I doubt I'll have to.

Quick response time at all points. Really appreciate how Avant handled all the permit and inspection details with city of Santa Clara. Brian and Eric were both great to work with. Brian was great to work with. Responded to my request for a quote right away and was able to help install my electric charging station within that week. He also coordinated the walk through with the inspector and got everything approved with my permit. Great customer service and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend!

Supported on decision, which model and output is suitable for the location (something we as consumer only think we know) and delivered a quick inspection.
Handled all permitting and the installation was smooth as well. Overall a quick, competent and perfect service.

Eric and Brian did great work for us. They're knowledgeable and very hard-working. One of our bedrooms had lost power and they rewired, avoiding the dreaded (who knew?) copper-aluminium junction.
