Adam began his journey working on trailers from his garage in Benicia, where he found a passion for vintage trailers. His enthusiasm expanded with new projects and customers, culminating in the launch of Avalon RV in 2008. Our business has experienced steady growth since then, and we now specialize in custom cabinetry, RV solar, lithium battery upgrades, and inverter systems.
My background is in mechanical design and fabrication. I realized early on that I find joy in working with products that are essentially functional art.
I have always enjoyed working on motorcycles, boats, cars, and our family RV with my dad. I love tackling the challenge of fixing anything that I find intriguing. In my youth, I was constantly building and creating. As a young parent, I once modified my son's electric car to use my DeWalt cordless drill battery because it provided more power, torque, charged faster, and allowed me and my adult friends to ride it around the backyard at high speeds.
I love the individuality each customer contributes with their specific requests for their RV.

Adam and his team did an awesome job frabicating a new table, testing and fixing a variety of plumbing and electrical issues on my 66 Caravel. Very happy with the work, throughly recommend.

The one-star review of Avalon RV by another Yelp'er is totally unfair. How can a business be poorly rated because they are successful? They were also not able to help me until October. Good for them! This is an excellent sign of a business that is thriving. Any repair and restoration business that is this popular is doing something right. They were nothing but helpful, considerate and professional when I called. This is customer service at its best. The fact that they are honest, upfront and considerate is no reason to slam them.

Adam and Avalon RV are simply the best. They encompass what a true owner / operated business should be. Helpful, courteous, fair. I have had Adam and his crew work on my trailer which was an older 18' Terry, they did what they said they would do when it came to repairs and enhancements, offered advice on what I should do and counseled me on things I thought should be done but really didn't need to be done and would not add value which I greatly appreciated. We enjoyed 3 great years with that old trailer which thanks to Adam and his crew performed admirably. We sold that, and as a result of what i learned from Adam purchased a new Air Stream! It will be at Adams shop for some add on's soon. I know a lot about my own business and product but I am a regular civilian when it comes to these trailers and I know when I ask a question or want to do something $$$ signs do not appear in their eyes! Often its ""don't do that"" or ""it would better to spend money on this"" always with my best interest at heart. Adam has had the patience of ""Job"" when it comes to some of my foolish questions and ""ideas"" and I always leave feeling smarter then when I came in. Do your self a favor and start at Avalon with your questions and concerns on any trailer, motor home etc...they know their business and will treat you with respect.

Adam and his crew are wonderful, knowledgeable and fair minded. Highly recommended.

I've been bringing both of my vintage airstreams to Adam for about 2 years now and all of the work preformed has been stellar to date. One of my trailers required extensive repair from an accident and I've not felt safer towing her on the road since. Wonderful workmanship and exacting attention to detail across the board. Get on their calendar early, the only nit is they're so good, they're super busy!

Adam was amazing. I have been to other repair shops, just to get parts and they didn't get it right. Adams work was fast and reasonably priced. I wouldn't take my pop up any place else. Thanks again Adam!

Adam and his crew offer stellar service and a deep knowledge of vintage Airstreams. They redid parts of my 1965 Airstream Globetrotter, and left the stuff in good condition intact. My rig has been on display this month as part of my neighborhood's Christmas display, and everyone who walks by ooh's and aah's over it. I waited 15 years to do this project. Avalon RV did a beautiful job, and were wonderful to work with. Bring your baby here. They'll take care of you.

Adam is a great guy, and his work is excellent. His crew knows what they're doing when it comes to high end Solar. I came here to have a Magnum MSH-3012 Hybrid Inverter installed and it turned out great, for the most part. I would definitely recommend his services installing Solar equipment, he certainly knows what he is doing.
It took a while to get an appointment after sending payment, but I guess he's really busy. I did have to wait a day on-site because, but I have no problems with the delay, of course planning for unforeseen consequences weeks in advance is impossible. There was no issue staying with my unit overnight, so it wasn't a concern.
The wrap up was on the night before Thanksgiving and there was a bit of a late night drive to finish the project which left left one strand of romex uncovered and unfastened, which wasn't really a big deal to me considering the amount of work done in the time they had. There wasn't a whole lot of time during the rush to finish so perhaps I got in the way near the end of the day because I knew there wouldn't be time for a proper walk through.
I did pay a bit more than I thought was fair for having the batteries rewired, but there seems to have been a preexisting wiring issue that went by unnoticed. I tried asking for a quote to correct this via email twice, but it seemed like he wasn't interested in taking that job on.

Adam installed new batteries for the solar system on my RV. He also did some trouble-shooting of the electrical system. He pinpointed the problem and changed some wiring. A top-notch outfit. I would use them again.

These guys rock!! I was looking for a reputable shop that specializes in vintage airstreams to finish up some plumbing work on my 1964 Globetrotter, install a new water pump, fix a leak in the city water line, repack the wheel bearings and evaluate the old air conditioner. After searching around a bit, someone from the NorCal Airstreamers recommended Avalon. It took a while to book an appointment (they're booked solid for weeks ahead), but I'm sure happy that I waited for an opening with these guys. Brought my Globie down from Sacto and left it with Adam and Paul fully to expecting to wait a week or so. Adam called later the very next day to let me know they were done! Great job and reasonable. If you have a vintage airstream - or other vintage brand - you can't go wrong with these guys!
