Alex is a pro! Clean & Quality work done at a reasonable price on time... what more can you ask for?

This is one of my two overdue positive reviews. Two years ago, we used Avallone Electric to install a 20 amp, 120 volt circuit for an indoor sauna. This guy was terrific. Did the wiring and conduit work all through the garage, and then through a tricky angle into the interior, through a closet under the stairs. He did it all himself. By contrast, we had previously used a highly-rated team of electricians for an exterior spa, and it did not go well - anchoring conduit, they hit a water line. This guy, Alex, was self-assured, knowledgeable, and very reasonable with charges. I highly recommend Avallone Electric for any electrical demands, but unequivocally for large jobs such as saunas and spas.

Alex has done work on my mothers house, my sister-in-laws house, and just helped me over the phone with a minor issue. He replaced full panels for them, was on time and professional, and left his work clean. He will be my family and friends go to electrician from now on.

Alex was SO helpful, in solving my smoke detector problem. All was done over the phone, when nobody else could help me. I'll keep Avallone Electric phone number in my records.

I called Avalon to come out & move some outside lights for me, & also replace some. We also needed an amp circuit installed for our microwave that was causing our breakers to pop. On Thursday Alex showed up on time & gave a very fair estimate ,so hired him . He showed up early on Friday , completed everything as planned. I highly recommend this company, very satisfied. He beat another estimate by hundreds of dollars. He was very professional & nice.

Alex showed up when he said he would, gave an honest estimate, and did the job
in a very professional manner. He took care of all permits and notifications to the power company and county. The work was excellent and clean. The power panel
replacement wiring was in my opinion a work of art. Every wire laid down and formed perfectly. Thanks Alex!! Keep up the great work!!

I called several electricians to fix a short in my kitchen circuits. Alex responded promptly and made a service call the same day. I found his skill and demeanor to be excellent. He gave a fixed price and did not charge extra although the job took him longer than anticipated. He is a sole proprietor and works hard. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

8/14/15 Unfortunately I am being forced to change my original review of Avalon electric. I have used Alex several times since October of last year and started recognizing that he was not being fair and honest in his charges and he was being quite inconsistent in how he charged. Maybe he thought I would pay whatever since he had gained my trust. That trust was totally broken on 8/14/15 when he had quoted $50 to $60 per led can light to install in the kitchen. This did include the light and labor. He came out and installed the Halo retrofit led can lights in no time. However when it came to the cost he suddenly changed it and said that the lights cost him more. He said his cost at Pratt electric Supply was $56.97 each. When I challenged him on that he said it was because they were 3000 kelvin. However when he called me to ask what I wanted before he came out he did not mention a thing about the cost being different. Then he was going to charge me 2 hours labor when it took him about 30 minutes to install and the rest of the time he was on the phone. He didn't care at all that he was not honoring what he originally told me what the cost would be. He just kept saying that the lights cost him more and that Pratt electric changes their prices constantly. I googled the item with him standing there and showed him that Home Depot had them for $29 each. He said there was nothing he could do about that. I told him that I would have supplied the can lights and purchased them myself if I would have known that I would have to pay a price based on whatever he had to pay even if it wasn't a reasonable and fair price. So after he left, I called Pratt Eletrical suppy and found out that the item is $33.70 each with tax. That is without an account so his cost was actually less. They also said there is no way that he could have been accidentally charged more as Alex claimed, as the items are scanned. He also told me that he did not have an account with them as the savings isn't much. However he later told me that he did have an account. Also the savings is significant which I found out from Pratt. So he pretended to be over charged and that they made a mistake. I was quite taken back and disappoiinted that someone I trusted and that I thought I had built a good professinal relationship with, could look me right in the eye and lie the way he did. I guess he got greedy and thought since I had given him work several times and he had gained my trust that he could charge me whatever he wanted and I would not even question it. Again his bids were all over the map in the past and there seemed to be no real explanation or logical way on how he was charging. On this same day he gave me a price to replace 10 feet of existing phone line under the house with a splice and said it would take about 3 hours and the material cost would be $80.00 which was ridiculous.Yet on a previous job to put my romex wire in the kitchen in conduit to bring it to code he charged less even though the job was more involved and would take longer. In the past he never broke out the charges of material and labor as he was now doing. He just lumped it together for a bottom line cost. So based on this event I will not use Avalon Eletric again. I can only give my business to someone I trust and that is honest. So because of his greed and dishonesty he has lost all future jobs and referrals. I had given him a review of 5 stars in October of last year after the first job he did for me but he clearly got cocky and underestimated my intelligence and business savvy.

On time, professional, informative, and reasonably priced. Avalon Electric was referred by a neighbor of mine when we lost power to half of our home. Although his hours are 8am - 5pm. Alex agreed to meet me at my home at 5pm and reassured me that the problem was probably minor in nature and that he could have it fixed quickly. He promised but more importantly, he delivered!!! I would definitely recommend him.
