Founded in 1987, we initially focused on commercial services. With our growing reputation, we started receiving more inquiries for residential services. After establishing our residential division, we soon discovered our ability to thrive in this sector and provide outstanding service in an industry that was lacking. Not long ago, we celebrated our 29th anniversary in business. We remain a locally owned and operated business, with plans to keep it that way, as family members are ready to carry on our tradition.
I acquired much of my expertise and hands-on experience while serving in the Navy on the USS Constellation CV-64. While in the engineering division, I had ample opportunities to engage with plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical systems. Upon finishing my service, I decided to follow my entrepreneurial dreams and started Aux Mechanical.

Laura P.Chris P. is an asset to Aux Mech. Professional, yet personable. Very knowledgeable and courteous. I will definitely request him for our next appointment.
Stefanie W.We have used Aux for years and they continue to give great service and care. Today, Coty S. came out for our inspection. I had requested that he not ring the doorbell because my daughter was home sick. When he arrived, he had a card for her! So...a continuation of excellence and an additional praise for this sweet gesture!
Sheila W.This was my first contact with Aux Mechanical, but it won't be my last! They were very professional, from the initial call, to scheduling, and the actual plumber visit. James O is a tremendous asset to Aux Mechanical. He is courteous, conscientious, knowledgeable and capable. He assessed the problem, told me what needed to be done, got my approval and fixed it. Midway through the repair (toilet problems), he showed me what should have been done by my contractors who took shortcuts when installing tile around the toilet. I now have confidence (backed by a 3-year warranty) that this problem is resolved. Great job!
2 for 2 .... Jimmy was here right at 7a for a semi annual HVAC systems check.... courteous, complete and effecient... plus some good knock knock jokes.... if he come ask him for a few.
I say 2 for 2 because last week we had our plumbing inspection.
Keep up the good work!
Had their plumbing technician Bobby come by the house to do an annual plumbing inspection. He was very courteous and checked everything quickly and thoroughly. We discussed some options to clean out sewer lines in the future if I wanted to do so. Good inspection and friendly service.
I had AUX out in early January to replace my a/c unit. Their installation crew did a great job, were very friendly and explained what they were doing. Very satisfied with their work.
I'll make this short: they kept my pregnant wife waiting for an entire day. Said we needed a new AC and then couldn't do anything temporarily. This cost $200. Next day a different company did a temp repair in 10 minutes that has lasted us 3 months so far. Aux Mechanical's service and integrity are about as poor as I can imagine. Avoid at all costs.
6/30/16. (AUX Mechanical) I had an emergency situation. The power transfer switch on my generator shorted out and the generated power would not shut off when my main power came back on. I called the after hours emergency line at AUX and left a message at midnight. They never called me back. When I called them the next morning, they told me they had no record of the 3 messages I left them. They then told me it would be the week after July 4th ( 7 days) before they could come and fix the problem. AUX was once a very good company that has now diminished to pathetic service for their customers. The new company I called (Century Heating and Air) was here within 15 minutes, performed a manual override on my transfer switch, which corrected the problem. This took 2 minutes. They then repaired the problem that caused the switch not to electrically override and serviced my unit completely. I have spent thousands of dollars with AUX mechanical over the years but will never use them again. This was a dangerous and emergency situation in which the just left me hanging after several pleas for help.

Scheduled an a.m. Appt to install a dishwasher. Rep called to say the tech had one repair before me,ok. Rep called at 10:30 to say tech delayed with a bigger job. Tech arrived at 3:30.
Tech quoted installation fee which was more than I paid for the appliance. The fee was reduced after I purchased a maintenance plan for my heating and air units. Just a little disappointed in their rates.
the service department of Aux, called us for a heating check of our furnace and the tech came out, he went under the house and stayed for quite some time and he then came out and stated that he had to shut off our gas to the furnace, because there was danger of carbon monoxide poisoning, we immediately called Alagasco to verify, Alagasco found no carbon monoxide leak, Aux then stated that we needed to bring our furnace up to code and that he had to cut off the heat by law. he then proceeded to tell us that he could probably fix it for close to 3,000. 00 dollars, then he went back under the house and stated that the pipes were rusted and he had to replace them also. He then quoted a price of over 3,000.00 again and then he said, you just need to get another heating unit, we can provide that. We called for a second opinion, and the HVAC licensed specialist found several things that was out of order, first someone had removed parts from the burners and drain, they had to be replaced, pipes were loose where they should not have been, wear and tear was present, but not 6,000.00 worth and not to the tune of a new furnace. Also some one had stuffed debris from under the house into the vents and the HVAC specialist stated that it was not the debris that is normally found in the blower, it had to be put there. We have a eighty five year amputee, my dad that we take care of in our home and this has been a bad time for us. We will never use aux and will post on all complaint boards that we can find.
I wish I had read some of these reviews before I let the Aux technician in my house. I had a technician come out to service my AC. This was supposed to be one of those seasonal inspections of an older unit. I had already replaced the old unit that they had info about. I had a new AC unit installed by another company. The Technician shows up with a pre filled out form recommending replace the entire system. My new HVAC system had already been installed for almost 4 months, The issue now is that 10 days later I HAVE A PROBLEM with a new unit.
LETS see..... the area where the technician made adjustments is the same area where I found a pressure nut loosened. This loose nut allows the coolant to slowly be released causing other problems to later be diagnosed. One of the symptoms of low coolant inside a system, almost burning up the compressor, which is something they would have made more money to install. Fishy, coincidental ??????
Sounds like a set up to me. Once the new technician shows up and I unveil this (plan) to him about how this is the only area that his co-worker made any adjustments on a new system that was perfectly fine. Notice - I just wanted the seasonal annual inspection done. So almost 20 minutes goes by now there is another AUX vehicle parked at my door, but this technician never gets out of his vehicle. Don't get me wrong, I think there may be some good people at AUX but this treatment of the customers has to stop. And at if this continues AUX wont be around much longer.
