Called for service, bought the yearly service plan and needed an oil change. Service was completed but was told they would no longer work on my generator because of how it was installed. Why wasn't that said up front before the work was completed? It passed the City of Leander Inspection when it was installed and works great. I guess my money is no good with this company. Do not use this company. Go somewhere else

Greedy corrupt company. I called and scheduled service based on Generac website calling them a service center. They said they would schedule us for service 6-8 weeks out. Followed up twice in the next few weeks / months with no response. 6 months later finally spoke to supervisor"" as they didn't show up and the refused to come. They will waste your time......

I can see why Austin Generator Service is only a two star. First, the nice ladies who answer the phone are super kind and nice and do a great job. Their outside sales person Brandon not so nice. I had a question for him, the kind ladies in the office contacted him to call me. His first words were "" what do you want "" very rude, because he did not care about quality of sales service.
I asked why I had to prepay for work not performed yet, he said you do not have to if you like, but if not work will not be performed. From our first conversation when he talked to me and my wife in San Marcos we were never told. Brandon, also did not care if we used his company. I called the nice ladies back and they apologize, said they would have an owner call back, still waiting. I called a different company within 10 minutes and saved about 45% in cost. I'm looking forward in next week work from a 5 star company.

I first contacted this company on their website about 6 weeks ago to get a service contract on my 5 month old Generac stand by generator. After many calls to them, not a single call back. How rude!
I understand about being busy, but in this day of electronic communications there is simply no excuse for ignoring potential customers. I agree with Trey C. and Seth R. that they don't give a rip about service. Regarding Kya W's glowing review, that was for a NEW purchase FOUR years ago, so I wonder if she has had problems with their non-existent service department.
Finally, I said that's enough and filled out the form on the Generator SuperCenter of Austin's website. Christine immediately emailed me, answered all of my questions and I was under a 12-month maintenance contract (that includes 24/7 remote monitoring) within a couple of hours!

Went in for service. They don't do service. If your not buying a new generator they don't seem to have time for you. Good luck ever getting a call back.

Reached out to this company no less than 4 times for a quote. Sent an email and got no response. Called two times and was told I'm on ""a list"" with no expectation of time to return the call. Finally, several weeks after the last call, I took the time to fill out a detailed form on their site and still haven't gotten a response
I don't care how busy they are - if they can't communicate with potential customers, what does that say about their ability to service regular customers?

I had a great experience with the electrical division at AGS. The project managerJohn was very knowledgeable and sensitive to the requirements of my home and budget. His team installed the generator without any issues, disruption or mess. I feel safe and confident that if needed my home will be properly protected.
