Alaric D.All I can say is Cory Mann is the man! Cory is a true professional. He's an excellent electrician; knowledgeable and meticulous. He kept his work space clean and tidy; wore shoe covers and masks following Covid guidelines. He's super friendly, courteous and overall a pleasant individual. He also gave free estimates with my future home improvements and gave an honest recommendation. Two thumbs up for Cory!
Mica R.The work done by ASL was accomplished quickly and I am very happy with the finished product. I needed to add a ceiling light to my nursery and even with my being on the ground floor without overhead access they installed it in a single morning without any additional holes than the one the light is wired through. The installer was prompt, professional, and an overall delight to have in my home. I highly recommend them for your electrical needs.
Shout out to the team out at ASL Electric. Quick response and friendly staff. Had the need for a new outlet to be added and it was handled quickly and efficiently. The member who came out walked me through the setup and told me of any changes along the way. There was a problem with the light switch afterwards but they were quick to respond and fixing it too. Would recommend if anyone needs something asap.
Travis was early to the appointment, wearing a mask, exceptionally courteous and professional. He troubleshot the problem quickly, thoroughly explained what needed to be done and completed everything very quickly and fully resolved all items.
I would highly recommend the ASL Team and Travis for any electrical issues or needs!
Brendan B.Honestly one of the WORST experiences I've had with a trade company. I got quotes from about a half dozen electricians, and after a pleasant phone consult I was convinced that this may be the company to go with. We discussed some rough pricing on the phone. Which included putting in some new lighting and rearranging the existing. We scheduled a date to perform the work but no actual quote was attached thereafter.
The day came and two electricians showed up. They started working and I told the gentlemen to send the full price over so that there was no confusion. To no surprise, the quote came in well over ANY quote I got previously. $2,400... 100% bait and switch vibe. I told the guys that this was a problem, and I shortly got in touch with a manager. I told him that I received a quote for $1,100 from another company, but they were busy and timing wise I needed it done sooner. We knocked off some work that wasn't super necessary, and he said he could do it $1,600 but not much less because otherwise he'd be doing it ""at cost"".
Ok sure, romex, boxes, switches, housing, are like anywhere from a $5-20 bucks and if two guys are working at $100 an hour. A little egregious, but ill give it to you.
No communication from the manager to the workers ensued because the things that were taken off to lower the price were completed, but things that were supposed to get done were not. One electrician left soon after, so now it's one guy getting paid over $200 an hour at this point. But I imagine the manager wants to get paid $100 an hour just to do scheduling or something, I don't know.
Long story short is that they left the existing lighting. So now I have about 12 lights in a bathroom that's about 100 square ft with switches on 3 different walls. What kind of foresight is this? Who would ask for a job like this? The room looks like the Urban Lights art installation at LACMA. They refused to come back without charging more money. They cut every corner imaginable. The recessed lighting came with just the housing, didn't even bother putting a bulb in or asking about it. Paid almost $2,000 and at the end of the day not a single light to turn on. They left exposed wires on some existing lighting.
And it created tons of extra work for the next guys that were to complete this bath remodel project. My tile guy had to punch a hole through the wall to get the old lighting out of the way. In turn created more work for the drywall guy. Had to get a different company out to fix this mess.
*Oh and here's another bonus, after agreeing to 1,600, the actual invoice came via email which was like $1,635. I wrote a check for $1,600 and a different ""manager"" calls me and says that I have a remaining balance. Well I told him that the first manager agreed to $1,600 and the job wasn't even finished. He insisted it was and that rearranging wasn't apart of the job. Which is funny because that was the whole point of the work, the bathroom had lighting, rearranging was the reason I called in the first place. I told him I'm going to write about this on yelp. He said ""are you threating me?"". I scoffed. Only thing I liked about this job is the kids that actually performed the work, because they had nothing to do with the problems. Management is horrifically bad.
Bradley P.I needed an electrical outlet installed in my office and I called around to a few places. I landed on ASL because they were the most friendly and professional out of the group I called.
They sent me text alerts letting me know when my tech would be arriving. Cory was at my office ready to work a few minutes BEFORE the quoted time! I was already impressed with them right then and there....(how many times are you quoted a 4 hour time frame for when the tech is supposed to show up sitting, all the while you're just sitting around waiting for a tech to show up and do work and they show up AFTER their quoted time and give you some BS reasons as to why they're late). Not these guys! They were early and ready to work.
The work was awesome, Cory was super friendly and knew what he was doing. He even went out of his way to be helpful and respectful of my office in that he cleaned up after himself and checked with me to make sure everything looked perfect. (Which it did!) The outlet looks great and works perfectly.
These guys are top notch professionals and I will hire them again should I need any other electrical work done.
If you're look for a great electrician you should 100% use ASL Electric. They're awesome!
Cory B.I hired ASL today based on reading reviews alone. I must admit selecting a contractor that way is not always easy. I am so glad I trusted the previous reviews because they are accurate. They are extremely knowledge and pride themselves of doing it right and right on time. I highly recommended this company
Cory was on time and had his mask on. Took a look at our oven and determined that the electric he needed to work on was behind the unit and that we needed to pull it out for access. This would take some time so he offered to come back anytime that would work for us. When he came back the electric work he provided was exactly the right fix. This was an excellent experience and would highly recommend ASL and Cory.
Sarah L.Luke and Carlos were amazing. They worked really hard. It was very hot as well and they just carried on until they were done . They were both very courteous and kind . Carlos came back Saturday to finish the project. Johnny is the owner and he communicated with me at every turn. I would highly recommend them
ASL team is very responsible, they did my panel upgrade and while it was a pain due to it was a very old and unique design, Johnny and his team really overcome all difficulties with professionalism and without giving me any additional headaches. This is why I hired them and I'll continue doing it, because on my house projects I expect to have only the best, and these guys were. Hope they continue with the good work, and their business continue growing.
