I hired Scott to install a standby generator.

It took weeks to arrange it. The generator, pad, switch box & smart switch were already purchased by me.

He demanded that I pay 50% of labor costs (not supplies) up front. I asked him, if I pay for labor up front, what happens if you don't show up? He texted me multiple times, ""I don't scam people.""

After 3 days of failing to show up, it was clear that he had abandoned the job.

When I requested a full refund, he said that I would receive a refund consistent with the terms on the back of of the ""contract"".

I never signed a ""contract."" Though I requested that he email a copy of the contact terms in advance so I could read it before I left a check for deposit. He refused.

He took the deposit payment in the form of a check. Left a pink copy of receipt and Immediately cashed it (bank copy of check dated 3/4/22). I was not home at the time.

Additionally, I couldn't work for 3 days because I waited for him to show. Therefore, I lost wages.

He said he would refund my money ""next week."" It has now been 2 weeks and he is not responding.

There was no date on the receipt. The word ""contract"" was not on the pink copy he left me. He falsified & nullified any written ""contract"" by writing that work ""started"" at a future date (post dating).

Payment was accepted and deposited in his bank on 3/4/22. He never showed up for work. He never refunded my money.

Bottom line: Scott Trenchard ""VP of Asgard Electrical & Lighting"" IS a scammer. His wife is the president.

Scott got the job done. I had an electrician go out that couldn't find the issue with 2 outlets and a closet light that stopped working. Scott came in found the issue right away.

Asgard definitely deserves the ratings they receive here. Scott and his team did some routine electrical work for our home recently and they were fast, efficient, professional and friendly. Sometimes it's difficult to find competent, knowledgable, available and committed trade workers here in the mountains. This is not the case with Asgard Electrical. Scott wants the work and he's committed to doing a good job for you, so don't hesitate to call him.

We've been looking for an electrician for 2 years. Every time we make an appointment with an electrician they don't show up or even call to let us know they're not coming. Very frustrating! He set up our entire Ring security system. Scott explained what he would be doing to set it up and did a great job. He's an expert in this field, very personable, and friendly. Asgard is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Scott handled everything that was needed to replace my old electrical panel. Not to echo the other review so far, but Scott really is extremely knowledgeable about electrical and passionate about what he does. He was more than happy to explain things, both broader theory and the specifics of what we were doing.
I had him over to convert a light fixture into an outlet (one powered and one hooked up to a switch), install two new light fixtures, install an outlet in the attic, and fix some outlets that tested that they weren't grounded. He was here most of the day, far longer than he had estimated, partly because he wanted to do some preventative improvements to the ungrounded outlets. I helped him out all day and learned so much, which I am super grateful for. Absolutely having him back for my next project!

Scott and Judith are nothing short of wonderful to work with and are great communicators, difficult to find nowadays. Scott is absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable in his field and love his passion for what he does. He is also very engaging and treats your home like it's his!!! Make no bones about it, Scott is your man for electrical work and is also very reasonable. Judith is also wonderful to deal with and so pleasant in her correspondence. Do NOT go anywhere else, stop here in your search and call Scott and Judith, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED AND THRILLED YOU FOUND THEM!!! The best as far as I'm concerned!!!
