I've worked with A&S Electric for over eight years. In my previous house, they found and corrected a panel problem. They also installed new fixtures and made all necessary upgrades for a house sale. In our current house, they installed new LED dimmers and bulbs in hard to reach areas. This year they installed a 220 level 2 electric charging station, new LED lights for the garage, and additional lights for artwork. They are always professional, safe, prompt, and reasonable. This is why I continue to hire them.

Lately, post pandemic, most technicians seem reticent to show up or even care to return calls.

After checking Yelp, I called A & S Electric because of their obvious pride & expertise in kitchen & residential & lucky for me , Anthony answered my call-and everything got a little brighter
To expedite things,

Anthony showed up promptly that same day -well masked & well prepared- & proceeded to assess the problem which made life a whole lot easier. He replaced two faulty transformers & a tricky light fixture in record time.

He has a calm & unhurried patience which is a pleasant surprise during these stressful times.

Anthony and his crew are great and very reasonably priced. The best part of A&S is that they are responsive and willing to come out to troubleshoot. We've own a few homes in the bay area now and found that it's very difficult to find electricians willing to come out for what initially seems like a small job. Anthony is willing to come out to troubleshoot and fix small issues. We had one GFI that wasn't working but was in a critical location in our home. Anthony was willing to come out and take a look. Turned out that one outlet was an indication that we had bad wiring in the home. He was able to fix the issue throughout our condo at a very reasonable price. We've hired A&S to do a few other jobs since both inside our own condo and for our condo association (full building). They replaced our old conduits for one job and for another put in a new dedicated outlet for our new washer/dryer line. The A&S crew is timely, professional, and skilled. To me, no electrical problem is a ""small job"" and I commend A&S for their willingness to keep us all safe and coming out to troubleshoot. I highly recommend them!

Anthony was so responsive; I was able to see him the same day!
He was a super detective tracking down an electrical problem in
an older building that defied logic. He explained every step along the way
and diligently persevered until he found the source of the problem; an interior fuse box in a parlor closet, hidden by a cardboard box that he instinctively knew to move out of the way.
Amazing! How did he know to do that?
He is very knowledgeable investigating SF quirky houses and fixed the problem. All in one visit. Was impressed by his experience , problem solving skills and patience. Have total confidence in him and HIGHLY recommend

I recommend Anthony and Steven of A&S Electric without hesitation. They accurately diagnosed issues that other electricians missed. They completed several electrical repairs thoroughly and with great attention to detail, including replacing entire electrical panel. Anthony was very knowledgeable about what PG&E and the city would require of a service upgrade. Even without a signed contract, he showed up to my appointment with PG&E to hear everything the engineer had to say, and sure enough, everything required he already had accounted for.

We decided to do some changes to the contract once work began, and Anthony and crew adapted easily and I was given an updated contract. No surprises, no unexpected items and all work completed on time. Once completed they cleaned everything all up nicely.

This is the best electric contractor company in Bay Area. Anthony always responds to every request and always answers the phone. I had them fix a fan in my house and ended up doing all the lighting in my home. They did such a good job that I had them do my new office. I'd definitely use them again.

I cannot say enough nice things about both Anthony and Steven. Anthony was originally recommended to me by my neighbor -- he had some some extensive rewiring work and my neighbor was super pleased with the job. I had some minor electrical issues, including a blown outlet in my kitchen and a couple of lights on track lighting that weren't working. Anthony called me back in a couple of days and said he could come out that same day, if I was available.

Once Anthony arrived, he was very courteous and professional. He was extremely efficient in diagnosing the problems, and took the time to explain how certain outlets were on the same system so that we wouldn't run the risk of shorting it out again. We recently bought our place without receiving any information from the previous owners, and some of the breakers were labeled incorrectly. Anthony took the time to relabel some of these for me to make it easier for future use.

Of course, shortly after Anthony had come to service our place, we had some more electrical issues. I emailed Anthony again to ask him for another appointment. He was pretty busy and didn't know the next time he could come out. After a few weeks, I emailed him back again, and Anthony called me back the next day. He apologized for not getting back to me sooner, and said that although he was still really busy, his partner Steven could come out that day if that worked for me.

Steven was just as courteous and professional as Anthony. We had canister lights that appeared to have shorted out a circuit, and Steven was very diligent about testing everything to get to the root of the problem. We ended up having a light that needed replacing, so Steven went out to the store to find a replacement light as well as a bulb for our upstairs bath that we needed.

Both Anthony and Steven immediately make you feel very comfortable -- it's apparent that they are not just extremely competent, but also honest. I never felt like either of them were trying to overcharge me or take advantage of my relative ignorance with electricity/wiring. (In fact, Anthony told me that I was spending too much money on light bulbs at one store, and recommended another place and a couple of brands for LED lights that were good quality.) Both of them also do an amazing thorough job and with attention to detail.

The only slight negative I would say is the length of time in which Anthony took to respond to me for the second job. Since none of my issues were urgent and I told him that, I think my job was not as high priority as his other ones. I honestly didn't mind that; also the fact that I can work from home most days makes it a lot easier to schedule same day appointments. I could see that if you weren't able to do that, that it could possibly be difficult to schedule -- again, I was pretty up front with Anthony and told him I worked from home and my job wasn't urgent, so perhaps that lead to how my job was triaged.

In any case, I highly recommend A&S Electric. Anthony and Steven are fantastic.
