A friend recommended Jorge and Andy when I mentioned I needed a sub panel upgraded. They came over on time and took a look at what needed to be done. They were very thorough and explained all the new codes. The panel needed to be pulled out of the wall in our garage and framed in a new box to maintain a fire rating. The power needed to be shut off to do this work but they assured me that it would take no longer than 5 hours to get power back. They were clean and efficient. Even gave me a 50A plug for a future EV no charge. (Just under the panel). Would highly recommend to anyone needing any electrical work!

Andy and Jorge did an amazing job!! They installed my at home Tesla charger. They walked us through the process, best location for the charger for our house, etc.
During the install they mentioned the panel was very hard to work in. They rewired the inside of the panel to accommodate the wires for the EV.
I am very happy with the installation.

The best electricians you can hire by FAR! We've used them for several properties. They wired our entire brand new ADU, fixed electrical issues in our older main house, added lights, fans, I could go on!! They are so helpful, kind, clean, etc. I can't recommend them enough for any project big or small. You won't be disappointed!

Andy and Jorge did a great job handling the electric on our office upgrade. Super nice and prompt at responding, very fair on price. Even went out of the way to talk to the county plan checker for us when there were some issues with our permit plans. Definitely recommend them.

Andy and Jorge came to our house to help us improve the lighting and make sure everything was safe in our 100 year old home. They came out a couple weeks before the project and gave us ideas of how we could improve the lighting throughout the home. They ended up adding under cabinet lighting and recessed can lights in the kitchen, added lights to our two closets, upgraded our panel from 100amp to 200 amps, added an outlet so we could mount our tv, fixed some light switches that did not work, and installed a Lutron Caseta Smart Home Switch in multiple places. They were extremely kind and always cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. The communication from them was great, from how much everything was going to cost, to how long the project would take. They are very knowledgeable and always made sure we were comfortable with every step of the project. We cannot recommend them enough, they are truly great and honest people. They also recently installed an electric car charger at my parents house and they were very happy with Andy and Jorge's work.

We called Armaz Electric as we were out of power due to a tree falling over and knocking down the power line. A new outdoor panel was installed. This company is efficient, knowledgeable, reliable, professional and has elite customer service with attention to detail you can never go wrong calling them. Workmanship speaks for itself.

Left a message for Andy at 5:05pm on a Wednesday. He called back less than 10 minutes later. 1/2 of the circuits in my house weren't working. He said he could come by between 9a and 10a the next day. Showed up on time wearing a mask. Very friendly. He identified the problem within minutes. He went to the store and found a replacement 100amp breaker which he promptly installed. He was very clear up front about his rates and stuck to that initial estimate. I highly recommend Andy and Armaz electric after my awesome experience.
Good luck with the new baby Andy!!

Electrical rewire of entire house including a new sub panel. The guys are fast, efficient, Newark City inspector approved their work without any violations.
Have even had Arnaz Electric do work on other homes in our family and referred them to many friends and neighbors.

We were lucky enough to be introduced to Andy and Jorge about 4 years ago, before they started their own business. We have not used any other electricians other than them since then. I even had to stalk the internet to find them when they went out on their own. Fortunately I knew their last names! They are knowledgeable, kind, friendly and my daughter named her stuffed animals after them (probably because they started to seem like family after a while!) I wish they did EVERY trade because I'd call them for everything. We've referred them to no less than 5 other friends/family. Don't hesitate to give them a call. (Actually, no don't give them a call cuz if they're too busy then we can't have them come do any small electrical job I can find! ;-) )

I've been on a bit of a yelp hiatus but wanted to hop on to review a couple of establishments I've recently done business with. I use yelp not only for eating establishments but to secure work for my house and those in my family as well. If you're reading this review you probably find value in reading other people's experiences as well. Sometimes I am skeptical when I don't see a lot of reviews for a person who does work on houses but I always get multiple quotes to cover my bases.
Andy came to the residence I was having work done and was extremely professional and thoughtful. I could tell that he had done projects large and small based on his thorough responses.
When it came to selecting a contractor after recalling my ""interviews"" with various contractors I found myself most comfortable with Armaz Electric. As I alluded to in another recent review , sometimes you run into unanticipated events and you need to feel comfortable with your contractor. We didn't run into anything in the job I had him do that spanned over several days but I'm confident Andy would have addressed it promptly.
I can confirm that I was not let down by the Yelp reviews .Working in hot temperatures Andy not only was quiet and precise with his work but he cleaned up after himself extremely well which is necessarily a given with contractors.
Since many of my neighbors own Teslas I asked if Andy does Tesla car charging stations. He confirmed he did which I very well may add to this residence in the near future if Mr. Musk can churn out a bigger car that is a little bit more visually appealing than the tesla truck prototype. Based on his work I was tempted to add one while I had him doing my project but I decided to hold off for now... So if you need an electrician give Andy a ring. I look forward to using him in the future.
If you like my reviews, consider ""following"" my profile for reviews all across the SF Bay Area . Why ""follow"" someone? It causes the person you follow's reviews to tier to top when you pull up a business. I find this very handy when researching venues.
Rod's Review grading scale explained. Essentially I personally base it on the likelihood of a return visit and I try to be stingy with 5 star reviews since they should be ""special"" in my eyes. Price/Value also play a role obviously but there are $ and $$$$ littered across my grading scale.
5 stars - ""I'll go out of my way"" (approx 6 % of my reviews) 4 stars- ""If I was in the area I'd go here and would recommend"", (approx 38% of my reviews) 3 stars ""Maybe if was nearby"", (approx 37% of my reviews) 2 stars -""Would likely not return, Only if you want to go"", (approx 16% of my reviews) 1 star -""No thanks, even if I was hungry"", (approx. 3 % of my reviews)
