This is the very definition of an honest business. I called with what I thought was an emergency the evening before I was supposed to go on a family trip to Disneyland. Every light in my house had dimmed and started to flicker, and all of the light indicators on my electrical outlets turned red. I didn't have a clue what was going on, but I knew I had to do something fast.

I called Archbold Electric and explained my ""emergency."" Instead of trying to exploit my panic about the situation, the owner told me he wanted to save me some money and ran some FREE trouble-shooting with me over the phone. He then (correctly) diagnosed that the issue was with PG&E, and provided me with their emergency contact number. The issue was promptly resolved by PG&E later that evening.

I very much appreciated Archbold's honesty and integrity. The next time I have a situation requiring an expert electrician, I know who I am calling.

I've been looking for an electrician for 6 months with broken promises and frustration so I sen my father to Yelp when he had a problem. He found Archbold and immediately liked the owner on the phone. The amazing thing is that HE SHOWED UP and DID THE WORK!

My dad had never used Yelp before and he let me know how happy he was and what a find Archbold is. He also personally like the owner and said he was an interesting guy.

Brian and Chris were excellent today doing an install on our new Nest doorbell. BRIAN GOT BACK TO ME VERY PROMPTLY, was able to schedule the work quickly, showed up on time, and did the work with no fuss whatever. Also they were incredibly courteous to my wife and I. Will definitely make Archbold Electric my go-to electrician!

I had Brian and Chris install an electric car charger at our house. Brian was prompt coming over and telling me what needed to be done, and Chris was also right on time and finished the work in the exact amount of time he estimated. The installation is faultless and exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend them and will be using them as my standard service from now on!

I could not have been happier about my experience with Brian and Archbold Electric. He responded quickly to my call, and was able to fit into my somewhat difficult schedule (due to the fact that I was working around renters that were coming and going). He made a number of suggestions that were immensely helpful and then did the work quickly and at what I felt was a really reasonable cost. He brought in Chris to do some of the work and he also seemed great. I highly recommend!

Recently installed a DIY hot tub and needed all the electrical hook up done and outlets installed for the accessories. Chris shows up on time, was polite, smart, hard working and just a nice guy. My wife and I were both impressed. It was a full day job and everything worked as hoped. We have used them on other projects with the same level of service. Good value and good work.

I first contacted Brian a few years ago to fix a kitchen outlet that didn't work. Another time he replaced a bathroom fan and rewired it because the dingleberry who originally installed it used lamp wire. I recently had Brian and his crew do all the electrical on our home remodel. He quoted a fair price and he and his crew worked quickly. His work is so neat and organized. He even labeled every wire at the outlet boxes! Wow! He then got rid of the knob and tube that we were no longer using. He always has a cheerful attitude and is great at advising me on electrical products -- even recommending the type of heated flooring I should get in my bathroom. He knows all the latest products. We made a couple of small changes but that was no problem -- he took care of it with a good attitude. He is very trustworthy and conscientious. I will definitely use him in the future and recommend him to everyone. If I could give him 10 stars I would.

We were in need of some rewiring in the attic ahead of a HVAC installation. Brian was quick to respond to a general quote request through Yelp and came out a couple of days later to give a more comprehensive quote. He thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done and gave us a cost-competitive quote (compared to 3-4 other companies). He also highlighted another issue with the electrical in the attic (a potential fire hazard) and included a fix to this problem in his quote. When he returned on the day of the HVAC installation we realized that there had been some miscommunication in the original quote as the job at hand was actually larger than anticipated. Brian was however very flexible and gave us a sharply discounted price on the spot for the additional work that was needed. We very generally very happy with Brian's work and the HVAC contractor also told us it had been a pleasure to work with Brian.

When dealing with power surges and humming in the light fixture when using my hair-dryer at the same time, along with a myriad of other little electrical oddities, I would like to say that Brian had excellent trouble-shooting skills. He was able to assess my situation in a timely fashion as well as make recommendations that were resourceful and helpful. He was able to help resolve my issues right away. He is also very prompt and thorough in his response times. I would use him again for sure.
