We have used ARC Fault Electrical Services on 3 occasions and we could not have been more pleased with the quality of service and the communication leading up to the appointment. Very professional staff and I highly recommend using these guys the next time you need electrical contractor services. Very affordable prices too!

Waited 24 hrs+ for Arc/Cody to schedule appt to fix electrical issue via Select Home Warranty, but, when Arc didn't call, I googled him and found majority one-star (*) ratings due to Cody's NO-SHOW history. Called Select to request another contractor, but, no one was available for 2 weeks(?), so, I called Arc to schedule appt. which Cody set for Friday, 1:00-2:30p with him promising to give me a call if time, etc. changed. When he did not show or call by 4:00p, I called Select Warranty to contact Cody when he informed them (not me) that he would not be able to get to my job that day and did not work on Saturday! In spite of asking Select to assign my job to a different contractor, they again re-assigned Arc even after I told them I did not want to waste any more time waiting for Arc. So, Select Warranty is equally responsible for my issue still being in limbo since they seem to contract with companies that have little to no work ethics or concern about the well being of the customer!!!

We were referred to Cody through our home warranty company. After he diagnosed the problem I told him I wanted to move forward with the correct repair regardless of if it was covered as we had NO AC or REFRIGERATION. READ EMERGENCY.

Days later I am being told gibberish about how they had to wait to see if the warranty would cover it and his partner taking two days off this week so he can't start the job till for three more days leaving us a week without power. He doesn't seem to understand why ""My buddy is taking two days off later this week"" when we asked him to move forward last Friday is not considered decent customer service to me.

Don't waste your time. Now we have to seat over with a new electrician because he is not equipped to handle the job we hired him for last week.

Cody at ARC Fault gave me the worst customer service experience of my year. His poor planning and lack of communication skills wasted my time and cost me a half day of work.

1) He didn't even respond to the home warranty claim that contracted him as my vendor. He said the email went to his spam folder. I had to call him multiple times just to get an appointment on the books.

2) He gave me a window of 12-3pm, and he agreed to call me when he was prepared to come to the job. I waited till 2:30, and eventually called him. He told me he forgot he had a chiropractor appointment that morning, and that he had received another call and was headed to Cedar Park. He never called me about changing the schedule, I had to call him, and he STILL went to another job first.

3) Over two hours later (4:45pm), I received a call from Cody telling me that he was wrapping up with his other job. This is two hours AFTER our original timetable. I informed him that I took an afternoon off of work in order to make this appointment, and I asked if he'd still be able to work on my broken porch light after the sun went down, since that seemed to be the only way the service call was gonna happen now. He asked me multiple questions about a light fixture, even after I explained that the issue was not a fixture, but a light bulb socket- a piece of hardware wired directly to the house. He then became agitated, raised his voice and spoke over me on the phone, at which point I told him the claim was cancelled and that I'd report him to my home warranty company and plaster his name all over the internet.

4) While I was filing a complaint with Home Warranty America, Cody called them. The customer service agent kept me on the line, then told me that Cody told them he called me at 1:30 (an outright lie.) Home Warranty America informed me that ARC Fault would no longer receive work orders from their company.

Cody was extremely unpleasant to deal with. This is my first Yelp reviews, and it's in the hope that I can help you to avoid dealing with this guy.

I scheduled 4 home warranty repairs at the same time. The other 3? Still waiting. Cody came out on time...early actually, diagnosed and fixed the problem. Done. No more appointments..No phone tag with annoying receptionists.

The home warranty company referred this company when a light fixture wire went wonky. The electrician came out late on a Friday night and fixed my electrical problem. Nice guy.

My home warranty company assigned Arc Fault Electrical when I submitted a claim. I called Arc Fault and left a message that evening. Two days later (they told me contractors are supposed to contact you within 48 hours of you submitting the claim) I still had not heard from him so I called again and left a message. No response. The next day I called First American Home Buyer Warranty and they put me on hold and called. Cody answered for them and told them he never got the work order. They submitted it to him again and he told them he would call me that evening or in the morning. After 10am the next morning (a Friday) when I had not heard from him I called him again. This time he answered and told me he would need me to call the home warranty company and get a work order number in order for him to do it but that he could come out Monday around 12. I worked Monday but told him that was okay and I would take off work to meet him. I just asked that he text me 30 minutes before he arrived so I could leave work to meet him. At 1130am on Monday I text him to ask if 12 was still good. He called and said it might be closer to 1. At 120pm I had not heard from him and text him asking when he would be there. His response was ""Yes ma'am. I'll be on my way shortly."" He said he was baout 30 minutes out, maybe less. I left work with enough time to meet him at home. at 1:54pm he text me with ""Are you still goin gto be around or do we need to reschedule?"". I was at my house waiting since he told me he was 30 minutes away at 1:20! I asked if he was still coming and he called and said yes but that he was about 30 minutes away. At this point it was cutting it close because I had to leave at 230pm to get my daugther from school! He never showed. He told me he could come Friday after 130pm. Friday morning I text him to confirm and asked that he let me know when he has a better idea of the exact time. Crickets. 230pm when I haven't heard from him I text to ask if he's coming today. He said yes and that he is finishing up a job in Pflugerville. He said he would be there between 3-4 and that his schedule got ""dramatically changed"" this morning. Well...a heads up would have been nice. If he knew that morning, he should have let me know! He said ""Sorry for such late notice but some things I just can't control"".At 340pm I got a text that says he had to rearrange things again because of an outage issue and might be able to make it by 5. At 345 he text with ""I will let you know as soon as I know something"".....I never heard from him again. When I saw his other yelp reviews I just had to add my story. STAY AWAY. Cody is not a good business man and doesn't' care about wasting your time. At first I just thought that he was crazy busy and didn't have anyone working for him so his schedule was over booked...but if that's the case, stop taking more work or hire someone else. The lack of respect for my time and me taking off work (HE KNEW I was having to leave work to meet him) is ridiculous. I missed out on hours at work AND dealt with the electrical issues for a week waiting around on him. The second person the warranty company sent out was AWESOME. He came the next day and called an hour before he got there. I will be going to leave him a positive yelp review.

Moral of the story: DON'T use ARC FAULT ELECTRICAL. Sorry for the long winded review but I think seeing just how many times he left us hanging is important.

Waited over 48 hrs for him to call and schedule my appt from my home warranty. He NEVER called. I called him to get him scheduled and he put me off to discuss with my home warranty. Never called me back. So I called again and he totally forgot what my issues were. Finally scheduled me for the next day. There were some issues and parts that needed to be approved and ordered through my home warranty. After 2 weeks and him telling both me and the home warranty 5 times he was turning in the report, he NEVER DID! I have texts with him telling me the report was and approved, but 1st American NEVER GOT IT!! What a crappy way to do business. I hope first American removes him from their contractor list and I would never use or recommend some with such a lack of follow up and customer service. Seems like a nice guy, but I don't have time to waste and I hate getting the run around.

I was referred to Cody through my home warranty company after losing power a couple of times. I put in the claim and that night, lost power and couldn't get it back on. I called first thing in the morning and he agreed to fit me in that day, arrived by noon, and fixed the issue. Nice guy...not the most complicated repair so can't speak to bigger issues than mine but he does good work as far as I can tell!

I called Cody after I found information about Arc on the Internet. I explained that I needed to have disconnects installed on 2 electric water heaters that I had just had replaced, to comply with Austin code. He said he could do it in a couple of days. When I didn't hear from him I called him back and he asked what amp switches were needed and I told him they were on 30 amp breakers, if that helped. He said it helped and he would pick up the needed parts. That is the last I heard from Cody or anyone at Arc. I have since contacted M. Electric, scheduled an appointment and they arrived on time and completed the work in a very professional manner.
