Ted from Apollo Electric was incredibly helpful from the initial quote process to the final inspection of my new EV charging station installation in my home garage.

He is knowledgeable about the pros and cons of each system and explains each option to you in easy to understand language. What made him stand out from other electricians was his detailed email responses to each of my questions. He has upfront pricing that was the most affordable among the quotes that I received. He will send a quote after you send pictures of your circuit breaker and electrical panel.

For those looking to install EV Chargers, the charge point home flex was recommended due to its quality. You have a couple options to choose from: hardwired or new electrical outlet with the charger being plugged in. There are pros and cons to both but we ended up going with the hardwire option.

I wanted to get 240V electric circuits for an ev charger and other european appliances.
Ted came out and scope the work while I dealt with him remotely from overseas.
Charged me 120 bucks for an estimate and coming out that was significantly higher than other contractors and the one I chose to do the work.
In todays world to be charged for an estimate seems out of line.
While Apollo appears to do good work from other reviews the policy of charging customers for estimates needs to change

This is the second time I have used Apollo Electric and once again I was very impressed with Ted and his work.
He was able to make an appointment for me within a few days of my call, he showed up a few minutes early and completed the job in less time than he estimated. He explained how the new fixtures worked and could be adjusted and made sure I was satisfied with everything before he left.
He did such a nice job of cleaning up I couldn't even tell a contractor had been there.

Ted and his team are awesome. Great communication, pricing and availability. He was able to come same or next day when other highly rated electricians I found on Yelp were booked out for weeks. I had a couple outlets go out in my Kitchen, and feared water or animal damage. Ted was able to easily and quickly diagnose, and was able to fix within an hour. He is also very knowledgeable about the homes built in my neighborhood (West San Jose/Campbell/Saratoga) and let me know about how the wiring was done in my home in the 60's versus what the current code is today. He gave great explanations and provided very reasonable quotes for any additional work I could have performed in my home to improve electrical efficiency and safety. Thanks Ted!

Ted & his crew saved us from an unsafe electrical situation left by a solar company. They installed a new mast, new main panels, new subpanels, afci breakers, and fixed some illegal circuits left by the solar guys. They were on the job for about 7 days, so I really got to know them. They are professional, honest, and do excellent work. I actually crawled and went up in the attic to double check everything myself and found no issues. The city inspector gave Ted a very hard time, but Ted kept his cool and we passed all inspections the first time.

Great experience-Ted was excellent about communicating everything and was very knowledgeable . They were punctual, timely, professional and did a great job installing a new electrical switchboard in our condo at a reasonable price, and did some smaller jobs at the same time.
