Ted was prompt in his response, they came in with all the equipment needed and finished the tesla charger installation and inspection in one day. The work was clean and they paid attention to every small detail to do the perfect job. Ted and his crew did some emergency electrical work at our residence a few weeks ago and came back for some exterior camera and electrical plug work at my house. Ted showed up right on time and worked until completed. I purchased the cameras and Ted had everything he need to run exterior power. Fro the visit a few weeks earlier, I had a plug go out behind our refrigerator. Ted came over within a few hours and once he determined that it wasn't a circuit breaker or the plug itself, he traced the wiring and junctions in the wall (no small feat) and found the where a wire had come loose in a box. Always friendly and fully ready to explain everything he was doing. I highly recommend Apollo Electric for any electrical residential project.

After buying our house, we contracted Ted to perform various upgrades to the electrical system including a panel replacement, 200A service upgrade, selective outlet grounding, and installation of new circuits for a treadmill and EV charger.

The project became larger when, after we had had some drywall opened to install a gas line to the stove, Ted noticed some dangerously out-of-code (and clearly unpermitted) electrical work that had been done during a kitchen remodel by the previous owners. This was in such bad shape that Ted inadvertently demonstrated its severity when he caused an arc flash by merely tapping a wire with a pencil when pointing out the problem area to us.

So we had Ted re-wire the kitchen to code as well, which he did, installing separate circuits for major appliances, and generally leaving us much more at ease that our kitchen was no longer an electrical fire hazard. On account of the unanticipated scope growth of the project, when Ted encountered smaller safety issues elsewhere during the course of the project, he fixed them for free or at a deep discount from what the normal price would have been.

Ted handled coordination with PG&E and pulling permits with the city. All of his work passed inspection on the first attempt. He was able to adjust his schedule to ensure that his work did not interfere with other work being done simultaneously (e.g. to the HVAC system and flooring).

During the entire project, he was extremely responsive by both phone and e-mail, and was willing and able to discuss our requirements at length and to clearly explain our options and their tradeoffs (e.g. for using GFCI breakers and a surge arrestor in the panel).

Overall, of all the work we have had done on our new house, Ted was by far the most pleasant contractor to work with, and I would recommend him to anyone.

Had issue with my outlets not working, and was looking for electricians. Apollo was the only business who actually responded with a quote when requested (everyone else simply ""responded"" with generic copypasta like ""we will surely help you, please call our office number to set up an appointment""). Scheduled next day, Ted came in - exactly on time! He looked all around the house, and finally located the issue. Obviously an expert, great service and honored the quote. Highly recommended.

Another top of the line performance from Mr Ted the owner and his super crew. This is my 3rd Yelp review update for the same company, same owner and same macho-man!!
I have worked with Apollo TB Electric back in September 2017 w.r.t the EV charger installation for my electric BOLT along with San Jose City inspector permit process etc. This time Ted + crew has done an electrical work for our Hills Dental Group San Jose (Practice of Dr. Rachana Vyas, DDS) in regards to installation of New 20 amp / 208V dedicated circuit along with installation of brand new Quad-breaker followed by configuration of 2 - NEMA 6-20 receptacles which got serviced by the
2 - 20 amp / 240V circuits. This help us to now move on from single vacuum pump (for suction unit) and upgraded to Dual Head Vaccum unit to support all the 4 Dental Chair Operatories with adequate vacuum PSI in each of the chair unit!!! Ted also helped to installed the 3 - 18/3 low voltage wires from equipment area to interior panel board switches to control the vacuum, water and compressor accessories. There's absolutely Ted is super-duper Eco-friendly, Technically Knowledgeable, A good thinker, listener and problem solving attitude type personality. Ted is very disciplined with his timeline, professional business work ethics, punctuality, communication etc. You name it, Ted has everything one could ask for more!! Plus, his quality of job is simply outstanding, fantastic and impeccable with no mess left out after complete wrap up. It's a pleasure and honor to work with Ted and I can't think off any one else and strongly recommend Ted and Apollo TB Electric for your low, medium and high voltage electric needs!!

Ted did an excellent job installing a long 60A/240V line (6 gauge) from the house panel to our detached garage with a 60A disconnect ending in a Tesla Wall Connector. Communication through email worked perfectly, he was always on time, was thorough, worked efficiently, left the area clean, lined up the inspection, and charged a reasonable fee compared to two other bids. I give my highest recommendation.
