Tom with APEM Electric has practically re-wired our home during the complete re-model of our house. Over the years we have also relied on his experience and expertise to make recommendations for lighting, specialty electrical power needs, ect. and the end product is beautiful! He is meticulous in the work he does and very honest and fair. In our opinion, he is the best electrician out there and we highly recommend him.

I have worked on 2 projects along side Tom (in a different field). He has provided chase-ways, specialty electric power needs, and consultation. His work was impeccable. There was no issues at all with his work. Everything he provided for me worked exactly as needed. I look forward to the next opportunity to work on the same project.

Tom was a big disappointment.
After initially inspecting the house and providing a price to upgrade quite a bit of the house, he flaked.
He was suppose to submit a quote for additional work from a ""wish list"" of items that I expressed I was interested in doing and he said he would submit a price.
I was anxious to get the upgrades done, due to new appliances and other factors that were dependent on the upgrades. He asked that the movers keep all furniture towards the middle of every room to accommodate his needs. That was arranged and during the move in, everything was kept to the middle.
On the day we agreed to start, just after closing, he was a no show.
On the day he said he would submit the price for extra work, I didn't receive anything.
He said he would call to verify his time frame when he had time to do the work based on status of another job, but he never made contact, until the day before he was to show up and do the work.
Perhaps he forgot or just didn't care that I was still waiting for him and couldn't finish moving my stuff b/c he asked all items stay to the middle of the rooms.
I never received the quote for the extra work and when I told him I was no longer interested in his services, he never asked why, offered to make it up somehow, or what he could do to keep the business.
Being in the customer service industry myself, I am HUGE on customer service. Tom had a check made out to him already from the seller of the house....all he had to do was show up and do the work, follow up with me, and keep the communication lines open. Apparently APEM has plenty of work and is gradually migrating into the same category as many others that don't seem to care or think customer service is important anymore.
If you don't care what you electrician does, don't need to know what's going on with them, or simply want to hire a company that doesn't believe in customer service, APEM is your way to go.
