Just to share our experience with Anthony's, we woke up on Saturday and our air was not working. Since we recently moved to Palmetto, we asked our neighbors to refer an air conditioning service. They referred us to Anthony's.
My husband called at 9am in the morning to schedule service. Since we have a 5 month old baby, it was a concern that our house was going to get very hot. We NEVER expected to be put in front of another customer but only wanted a close enough time as to when they would be here. The first comment from the unconcerned office person after my husband said we had a baby was ""well I can't help you with that"". It would be 3 in the afternoon and that they would call before arriving. 3:30, no call. My husband called to get an update as it was 95 degrees in our house. The same lady said ""The tech is on a job then she was finished she was going to another job. After that, we were next. That is the the nature of the beast"". Really? At 4:00 we took a chance and called CLIMATIC AIR. Gentleman on the phone answers, how can I help you sir. We explained our situation and the tech said, I am finishing a job and then I will be at your residence in approx. an hour and a half. They were here before that. My husband called Anthony's back, cancelled the appt. and told the very rude lady that we were going to give her a bad review. Miraculously, within 5 minutes, their tech called and said she was on the way. TOO LATE. CLIMATIC AIR will be installing a new air conditioning unit.

She said she was going to look into the $125 charges for a new system install She claimed ALL THE PHONE CALLS ARE RECORDED! Unbeknownst to me and not really sure if its legal to record someone without their knowledge .. Regardless she never called back. Still acting like they are OK with overcharging and not preforming any work for a fee. I hope others read this and use someone else like Scotties or Air and Energy if on Anna Maria island or any where.
The salesman acted like a know it all and started making up services and equipment I would need to get a new system install. After research the extras I supposedly needed were completely false. I had a new system installed by someone else and I think that ticked them off. The office has no interest in making things right. She kept complaining about my screen name and had no explanations that made sense. Erica P is being untruthful with her response. Most of the reviews you see here are posted by family or a friends as most people dont remember the name who serviced their equipment . So reviews that start like ""Mike P came out"" are more than likely false and probably Mikes wife. Sorry to say but after speaking with them I am more sure then before that I would never recommend this company to anyone.

We had an issue where I a/c just stopped blowing cold air. The outside unit would kick on and after 15-20 seconds it would turn off. The air handler would continue to run. It started to get hot in our house fast so I got on the phone and started calling someone to come and fix it. My first call was to one of the big companies in the Bay area but they couldn't come out until the next day! I wasn't going to sleep in the heat so I kept going. Got the same response from the 2nd place I called.

I found the number for Anthony's and gave them a call. Spoke to a really nice person on the other end and they told me they could get someone out the same afternoon! I set everything up and around 1 pm they called and told me someone was on the way. I also received an email with information on the tech that would be doing the service.

The young man showed up. I explained the situation and he knew what the problem was right away. He had the part on his truck and had the system blowing cold air in no time! He also did a quick check of the outside unit, the inside air handler and the drain. Very professional and nice young man (sorry, I don't recall his name).

The service was not cheap though. I used another HVAC place for years until they stopped servicing my area and the prices were less. I did have a bit of sticker shock when he gave me the invoice but was just happy to have cold air! I did sign up prior to the appointment on a 1 year service plan that should give me discounts, and not sure if it was reflected on my first service call or not (again, just happy to have cold air).

Speaking of the maintenance/service plan - I paid $189 up front for the year (previous HVAC was $25/month) and with this plan I get 2x/year full service system maintenance w/free filter replacement, priority service and a 5% discount on service.

Had a new roof put on our home. The roofer's put a nail thru our ac line set. All the Freon leaked out we found out later. Called Anthony's cooling for help. They sent over a ac tech named Joey. As Joey was checking my AC I asked were he went to school for ac repair. He replied he didn't his friend taught him. After changing a lot of parts and the AC still not working.Joey couldn't find anything else wrong so he called his boss. His boss told him connect nitrogen to the line set and listen for leaks. That worked he finally found the problem. I asked Joey if I really needed the parts since the AC was still not working. His answer was yes ? His wife/girlfriend keep calling and he couldn't stay to fix it. He charged us 600.00 dollars and he went home. After I called numerous times the next morning to get someone to finish the work. The finally sent someone over. The new tech soldered the hole and filled the system with Freon. The person charged me a 1000.00 dollars. So 1600.00 later my air freezes every night. Now sure how Joey performed the maintenance on my none working ac he charged me for. I'm afraid to call them back it will probably be another 1000.00 dollars. I was informed the incompetent tech was fired. I always used Anthony's cooling before this and never had a problem.

Our family owns a mobile home in Palmetto. We needed to replace the air conditioning unit and wanted a heat pump. We were told that the old electric system would not support a heat pump, so we decided to upgrade the electrical also. Since Anthony's does both and had stellar reviews, and we really liked their people, we decided to go with them, even though their quote was a little higher than competing bids.
Through no fault of anyone, the project turned to be way more complex than it initially appeared. What was supposed to take a few hours turned into days and multiple times of coordination with Florida Power and Light. When things get difficult, the true integrity of a business is uncovered, and Anthony's proved themselves golden! Never was there an attempt to renegotiate the contract, though we wouldn't have blamed them. They kept in touch with us to let us know what was happening even when we had to head out of state. Frankly, they earned 100 stars on this project! It was completed with excellence and professionalism. We most highly recommend!

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and honesty received from Anthony's AC. I was fully expecting a sales pitch for a new unit and the tech came out, diagnosed it, repaired the thermostat, and was on her way in less than an hour. The service was quick and friendly from the initial call to completion, and the price was very reasonable. Thanks Anthony's for a stress free repair.

To keep it short, went above and beyond to such a degree that I signed a service contract when I was dead set against it. After a competitor painted a doom and gloom picture and gave me bad info to create urgency leading to a call a week later trying to get me to replace the system entirely , Anthony's educated me and did the job I had just paid that competitor to do servicing the system which competitor clearly did not based on all Anthony's found. Shawn was great and I'm glad I was referred to a company I feel I can trust!

For 10 yrs Anthonys has been taking care of 3 condo's for me. One at Stoneybrook Golf and country club in Sarasota and 2, at Sanctuary of Bradenton . Never once have they not done a excellent job, but tonight the service was outstanding by GREG... He came out on a SATURDAY NIGHT at 11 pm . One of my tenants was literally suffering from the heat ( its 87 right now ) Greg found that someone had tampered with the outside unit.. Because of this Greg gave me a huge reduction in cost for coming.. I mean HUGE.. I can only say THANK YOU Anthony's for having wonderful souls like Greg.. I literally am in shock for his kindness.. Pretty bad service. They did a sloppy job when I had an emergency with my AC. And the problem repeated again multiple times.
