I found this hidden gem while verifying information for my job at the BBB. Bob and I kept missing one another and playing phone tag, but appreciated his effort in getting back to me. After discovering he was located in my hometown, and can fix any electrical, I shared I may need to stop by to see him for my issues with my window sticking when I would roll it down, fix my front and back windshield wipers, the springs in my trunk and broken glove box, Bob worked his magic and fixed them all!

He had to fabricate a fix for the glove box and cleverly used a spare seat belt to cut and adhere. The material was extremely difficult to penetrate, but Bob's determination didn't falter and it took some hard labor, but my glove compartment was just like new!

Thank you for your attention to detail and for being an amazing jack of all trades! I'll be back soon to get the trunk springs fixed and maybe my visor! I'll work on my list!

I had a great experience with Bob at Anacapa Auto & Marine Electric.
He was highly recommended by another 5-star, local mechanic who said, ""Bob's the only guy I'll recommend for auto electric."" He was right!
I took my 1965 Ranchero in bc the headlights had failed while rolling on a dark stretch of the 101. I thought it was the headlight switch, but Bob accurately predicted the Hi/Low Beam dimmer switch. He replaced both switches at my request and fixed several other small glitches he discovered along the way, all for a fair price (btw- he doesn't accept credit cards).
What impressed me about Bob most was his knowledge of electrical systems- he works on motorcycles and marine motors as well as autos. He accurately diagnosed the problem and fixed it fast. And yes, he's very friendly and honest. Highly recommended!

I brought my vintage car to Bob at Anacapa Electric on the recommendation of my regular mechanic. I was having a bunch of electrical issues. Bob is amazing! He is very professional, easy to work with, as nice as can be AND he really knows his stuff. He kept the car a few days and fixed all of the issues I brought to him, plus a couple of others that I didn't mention. He kept me informed of the costs all along the way and the price was more than fair. I can't say enough good things about Bob Moore. This is the guy to go to for your automotive and marine electrical needs. I will definitely be coming back to him when I need more electrical work on my car.

I was first introduced to Bob at anacapa auto electric approximately three years ago. After 8 labor hrs, the mechanic shop that I had taken my work vehicles to for over twenty years could not find an electrical problem on my 2009 ford e-250. I was told by a local fisherman that Bob would find the problem no matter what. It was the general consensus that it was probably an open circut which could take several hrs to find. So I prepared myself for a huge price tag. Bob found the problem in less than 3 hrs . I have sent several customers who have been more than satisfied with their experience with Bob at anacapa auto electric. Honesty ,integrity and reliability are not just words used to promote and advertise his business, they are values found in all his customer interactions.

DIAGNOSIS NO CHARGE AND FRIENDLY SERVICE.
Have an intermittent battery light on my dash come up and apparently my battery wasn't charging fully. I'm from out of town but Bob at Anicapa Auto when through and checked my battery and alternator. Explained that the intermittent problem was most likely the alternator brushes wearing along with the spring that holds them down. I live in the San Fernando Valley and couldn't set an appointment with Bob (Just passing through Ventura).
BUT if I lived here I would definitely come here for my Auto needs. He's been here for over 35 years and knows plenty from my experience with him. HE DEFINITELY LOOKS FOR THE PROBLEM AND WILL REBUILD AN ALTERNATOR IF NEEDED.

I have dealt with Bob Moore on numerous occasions and found, for some reason a less than stellar review left prior.
Can't explain it nor am I going to try. Bob is really a very honest, friendly and more than fair businessmen. With apologies.

I've been going to Anacapa Auto for years. My father and grandfather were the ones who referred me there. I was looking for someone honest and who would not take advantage of a young lady and this place was it. Bob is great. Its always a pleasure seeing him. My car is always taken care of and I never feel like I have to think twice. Now...anytime a friend says they are having electric problems with their car....I send them to see Bob.
