I couldn't be happier with the work performed by this company. I am not prone to rash decisions and so interviewed several contractors for the upgrade I sought. From 60 to 200 amps, rewiring of my entire home including ALL new toggle switches and outlets (adding 30+ of these)... and fixtures. The latter I purchased separately but had Amp Tech install. They even went so far as to ""bury"" the lines running to my detached garage, perfectly replacing the concrete portion that had to be excavated. From our first meeting, Mike (Owner) was courteous and professional. His explanations and suggestions were thorough. His estimate, while not the cheapest (and ONE reason I took him to be earnest) was more than fair. Upon completion of the job, the City Inspector took me aside and commented on the excellent workmanship completed. In earlier years, I had occasion to work oversight on commercial building sites and am somewhat familiar with the ""ins and outs"" of on-site construction.. 5 weeks post-job completion, I am a VERY satisfied customer and I will call Mike, Hovo and crew when I need any electrical job handled.....Michael Haft

Mike and his team provided and completed outstanding work for my home. It was built back in the 1920s and needed some serious help - as in everything had to be stripped out and everything new put in place. I work from home so them being able to work with my schedule was appreciated. They were even willing to work late to get everything done and not stretch it to three days. I can't say enough positive things about them. If you are looking for an honest, hard working electrican get in touch with Mike.

Good solid work. reliable. quick with estimates and proposals. i'll be using them regularly.

I needed some electrical work done, they showed up on time, did a great job, left no mess, and had a reasonable price. I'll call again next time I need electrical work done.

Very impressed with the quality of work provided and overall experience dealing with Mike at AmpTech Electric.
I had a minor electrical crisis over the weekend trying to install a fixture (in my house that has seriously outdated wiring!!) and needed an electrician to come to the rescue right away. I called a few different places- which all quoted extremely unreasonable prices due to the weekend hours. So luckily I found Mike, who not only was able to come take care of the situation right away, but his fee was very fair.
I will definitely use AmpTech again and would also gladly recommend them to anyone needing a high quality, fairly priced electrician.

Mike did the all the electrical work for my kitchen remodel. He installed a new breaker box, rewired the kitchen, installed ceiling lights and even installed remote-controlled outdoor lighting in my garden. He was prompt for every appointment, professional, and knowledgable about each aspect of the kitchen update. All of his work passed city inspection the first time around. I would highly recommend Mike at AmpTech Electric for any electrical work. I plan to use him again for a future bathroom remodel.

My neighbor found AmpTech here on YELP based on their highly rated reviews. After the job was completed, and he was 100% satisfied, I decided to hire them too. We upgraded our 100AMP panel to 200AMP and they did a great job at a reasonable price. In addition, Mike (from AmpTech) stands behind his work. He came out today, three months after the upgrade, to help pinpoint an electrical issue that I've been recently having. Turns out it had nothing to do with the new panel, and he fixed the problem 'on the house.' Now that's superb service (although it did take him a week to get here... Just kidding). Don't pay any real attention to those 1star reviews. Anybody who's described as ""very professional, knowledgeable, super nice and trustworthy"" is gonna be sought after. If he's busy and you're waiting for him, I'm sure you can understand why.

I work with quite a few of contractors and anticipate problems. Very rarely I find someone where there are no issues and I am completely satisfied.
AmpTech Electric / Mike was one of these rare exceptions. It was one of my best experiences for my current remodel:
- reasonable/fair pricing
- flexible ('cause things do change and adaptions have to be made)
- diligent
and very pleasant to work with!
Thank you Mike !

I wholeheartedly recommend Mike and his crew. I recently hired them to install recessed lighting and for some other electrical work in a house I just moved into. These guys are great and will be my electricians any and every time i need them. I even recommended him to my employer as our company is moving into new office space and I know that Mike does both commercial and residential.
Mike and his guys are very professional, knowledgeable, super nice and trustworthy. And just as important, the finished product looked great and their prices are very competitive. Mike definitely went above and beyond...my wife and I changed our minds a lot on the type of trim for the lights and even the light bulb used. Mike was 100% accommodating and very patient throughout the process. He went to probably 5 or 6 different stores/suppliers to find a particular type of light bulb that doesn't get stocked many places because they aren't popular anymore. In the end, we decided to go with another bulb, but he was very cool about it. Also important is that the AmpTech guys were very careful around our house, which is important for me as a new homeowner.
Admittedly, I was a little concerned when I read a couple recent reviews that said he missed or was late for an appointment. My experience was quite the opposite. We had two meetings before the work even started and a couple work days. My schedule is a little tricky with work and all, but they totally worked around my schedule and arrived as promised at the times/dates we had discussed. I suspect that the two negative reviews about the scheduling mishaps were a wake-up call for Mike and it's clear that if it was a problem before, he's taking the scheduling much more seriously now. At the end of the day, I understand how tough it is to drive across this sprawling city from job to job. If you take a good look at the reviews, no one has complained about his actual work, which is what most people tend to care about most. In fact, for every customer that they actually did work for, they received 5-stars (including me).
So why am I writing a page-long review when I'm super busy with a relatively new baby, a full-time job, and settling into a house? It's not only because they do great work at a good price, but I want to see these guys really succeed in this competitive business. I think that alone says a lot about what the AmpTech guys are all about.

i called last week spoke to mike to make a appointment on wednesday and the guy never showed up no call no show i waited 2 hours for him. I thought it might of been something that had happen so i called back a few days later he said he had lost my number and what not. So i thought to myself something things happen whatever so i booked him for tuesday for 2pm ONCE AGAIN NO SHOW NO CALL. This had to be the worst customer service ever. If you are looking for something to stand you up not once but twice? Please give them a call. If you want good customer service go somewhere else!!!!!
