I used Amp to completely rewire my knob and tube house from the 1930's. It was a huge job and they were professional and friendly the whole time. They replaced my panel and installed a ton of new fixtures as well. They worked around my family as we lived in the house and another company installing an entire AC system very well. Not sure why these guys are listed under solar as they do a lot more than that. I became aware of them when they did some work at my house related to a door installation for Andersen Windows. They did a great on that so I asked them to come out again to wire up and install a porch light, and put in a ceiling box for a ceiling fan.

I'm super happy with the quality of the work and the price. Guys that came over were very personable and hard-working, taking the time to cover all my furniture and clean up after the jobs were done.

I will use them again I'm sure.

These guys are terrific! They have put in two big ceiling fans, one of which required really inventive thinking to hide the connections. Now they saved us when a circuit blew which controlled the refrigerator and other things. Called first thing in the morning, Martine was in the area and showed up 30 minutes later. Then had it all fixed within an hour! Really saved us from loosing a ton of food!

Amp Electric just finished installing a fan on my 20 foot high ceiling. It was a difficult job which is why I did not attempt it myself. The two electricians Richard and Jose did an amazing job maneuvering a very tall ladder into the space restricted area of my house, they were very careful of my rug and furniture during the installation process, and cleaned up after themselves. They were very concerned with customer satisfaction and Nick, the owner checked in to make sure I was happy with the way the job progressed. I highly recommend them!

THE BEST! I moved from the NORTHERN VA area and needed electrical work done. ******* electric told me they would have to hack through my drywall I just had painted, then stood me up twice to do the work !!

I got an ad for AMP Electric in the mail. I called - they actually showed up!!! They arrived and performed the work - THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO CUT THROUGH the dry wall!!!! I love this company!! CALL THEM! You won't be sorry! Old fashion service :)

I am very disappointed that my original call was for an estimate, and I never received an estimate prior to my light bulbs being replaced. There were 4 light bulbs in the same fixture which, for safety, did require a second technician to hold the ladder. I had NO problem with this. $91.50 PER PERSON (x2 people) in labor for a total of one hour is ridiculous for the replacement of four light bulbs in the same fixture. Including leaving for purchasing the bulbs, the entire replacement of the bulbs took less than an hour. I don't see how this company can justify $180 in labor for that work.

I understand that, as a business, it's their right to charge whatever they want for services. That said, it's not very ethical to not have provided an estimate (either in writing or verbally) and have given me the opportunity to approve or decline the services in advance based on the estimate. When I asked the technicians at my home how much it would cost they said I'd get an invoice. Never once, until I called the office because I hadn't received an invoice, was I told anything about the travel fee, or the labor costs. It is standard to provide an estimate of cost before performing services.

I am very disappointed in the lack of communication and having NEVER received an estimate despite asking both the office and the technicians at my home. I even had to call the office twice to get an invoice sent to me so I could pay it. Next time I will, and should have this time, refused to allow services to be performed without an estimate in my hand. Buyer beware.
