Tony at AMG electric came over for a job this morning and did a great job. He was very friendly (both in-person and over the phone) and was able to schedule an appointment quickly. He arrived right on time, got to work, had the replacement parts available in his van, and was able to get all the work done very quickly. Prices were very reasonable for someone trustworthy and reliable. I'll be going back to AMG Electric the next time I need an electrician.

Tony Granelli is a great electrician and a very organized and kind person. He replaced our main electrical panel four months ago when we bought a house in Richmond. When I texted him with a question months later about our wiring in the attic (bc we're about to insulate attic), he immediately responded with all the information I needed to proceed with my attic insulation project. Whenever we have an electrical issue or renovation in the future, I will definitely call Tony again. So far, the new electrical panel and bathroom fan he installed have worked perfectly. He was very efficient when he did the work, and his price was the most economical quote we received.

AMG is actually just a guy named Tony, which seems important to point out, as there is no-one to follow up with if you have a bizarre experience like I did. I called AMG/Tony asking for electrical outlets and light switches to be installed in an upstairs bedroom that was recently remodeled. He told me that I should just watch YouTube videos and do it myself and that this would be much cheaper. I left the call thinking maybe I was pretty dumb, like I had just asked someone to come over and change my lightbulbs, so got to work watching YouTube and trying to figure out how to install lights and outlets. I called Tony back, as he said he would be willing to ""consult"" for $150/hr and asked if he could come help me. He did come to my house and teach me how to do switch installation and check my work on my outlets. He did this twice, staying for a few hours at a time and then leaving and scheduling to come back a week later. This means that two days of work stretched out over three weeks, when he then tried to reschedule a Monday appointment for Friday on Thursday because he'd had a funeral on Wednesday.... He then accused me of being unsympathetic when I said I was working and couldn't be available for his ""consultations"". I went with someone else after that. In retelling the story to others, including other electricians, it sounds so bizarre it doesn't even seem like it could be true, but I have the texts. I was just being jerked around.

Tony is awesome! Professional, patient, knowledgeable, honest and kind! I found him after searching Yelp for an electrician to walk us through installing a back up generator for our house. With wildfire season, rolling blackouts and two young kids, we wanted the piece of mind of a back up generator in the event of an outage.

Tony picked up when I called and set up a free consultation within a few days. He then completed the work after we purchased a generator and was super helpful answering all my questions (I didn't know anything about generators so I had a million questions).

He was kind enough to unbox and set up our generator and also let me film a video of him walking me through how to set it up during a black out! Seriously, he went above a beyond.
Highly recommend Tony as an electrician and he'll be our go-to person for any future electrical work!

Tony is the best! He is a true professional and his kind and generous personality sets him apart from other electricians. He is not after your money like other electricians but he really wants to help you out getting your issue resolved. He was efficient at work and offered to recycle my old light fixture.
