I highly recommend this company. They hung a heavy chandelier from a 20' ceiling. 4 guys showed up and they were very professional, courteous and careful to keep the house clean and avoid any damage to anything. I've worked with many contractors, and this is one I would call back anytime. They were also able to schedule me quick.

Sadly, this company, or at least it's after hours staff clearly tried to rip us off. Our electricity was out late at night. JEA told us it was a main breaker and our problem. We sent photos of the breaker to AE, and they told us it that because it was an obsolete Sylvania breaker, we would have to go without power overnight and pay over $1,600 for a whole new panel.Their charge just to look at it was $325. We called another company (Mr. Sparky), that identified the breaker from the photo as a Seimens, had it in stock, came out immediately, convinced JEA that it was their meter, and fixed our problem at 1 a.m. for a few hundred dollars. Mr. Sparky also noted that Seimens and Sylvania (which is NOT obsolete) are interchangeable in our panel. Sure looks like an obvious and dishonest rip-off attempt by American Electric to me.

Great service & very knowledgeable technicians! They wired & installed two new light fixtures in my kitchen, replaced a light fixture, changed a light fixture to a recessed light & replaced all of our smoke alarms. Wonderful service!

I have never personally used American Electric but have recently had an experience with one of the Electricians. I was riding down the highway when the American Electric truck decided to cut me off even though there were about 6 car lengths worth of room behind me, he then decided to throw his middle finger up to me. We begin to go over a bridge when he moves to the side, rolls down the window and starts shouting at me and pointing to pull over the side as if he was going to fight me because he cut me off? I just drove past him and then he decided to stay an unsafe distance behind my car. I have video proof of the man harassing me, his the license plate number on the truck is 1884LSC and hes a white man with tattoos up his arm, brown hair down to his neck and a bread and mustache. I have never been so anger in a drive in my life but them man should not be driving and he should no longer be able to represent American Electric if hes going to make such a terrible impression on the company.

Cool knowledgeable dudes!! They came to install a couple lighting fixtures at my new place and mount my tv. They were efficient and very friendly. They were super cool about taking they're shoes off since I had the flooring redone. Would definitely recommend and hire for future jobs.

Kevin and Josh brought my parents house into 2017 with new wiring, new lights and new outlets. They work fast and thorough and seem to always be checking each other's work. They truly listened to our issues and provided reasonable remedies. They are also ridiculously nice. They felt badly that our six dogs would have to be crated for them to go in the backyard, so instead - they took the time to meet all of them! Definitely recommend.

This is the second time I have used them and I'm still more than happy with their work. They installed new receptacles in my garage for me and they did an awesome job.
