Noah and Brian were professional throughout the installation of our office ceiling fan, chandelier and foyer light fixtures. They even took the time to walk us through the ceiling fan remote. There were no hidden costs and everything was completed within a couple of hours. Would recommend American Electric to everyone.

I am looking to put in a pool heater and I needed to add a circuit to handle it. I called and answered a couple questions and they were able to give me a rough estimate over the phone. I schedule the appointment and I was surprised they could come out on the next Monday. When they arrived they realized I didn't have room in my panel. My lights flicker when certain things would start, like the fridge, so I decided to upgrade the panel and scheduled the work. It turns out they could come back out two days later.

The new panel is in and looks extra clean. My lights no longer flicker and I'm ready for the pool heater.

This company sent guys who had to watch a You Tube video to ground a gas stove. They needed copper wire & went to Lowes. When I got the final cost they charged me for thier trip to Lowes. They new what the job was before they came. After I had to challenge the trip to Lowes they deducted an hour off the bill. That should tell you something. And just for the record, a city inspector told me it's a 1/2 hour job to ground the stove. American tried to nail me for three! I'm a senior citizen...buyer beware.

These guys first added a whole home surge protection in my prior home. Then we used them to install a Tesla charger. Then they did all the wiring for our new custom home and more Tesla chargers. They are the best electrical contractors in Jax bar none. I recommend them unequivocally for quality, professionalism, and service/reliability. You can't go wrong with these guys. Working with Justin is an absolute pleasure.

Chris A and Tray F. Are absolutely amazing people. They came in within an hour to fix our business exit signs due to a last minute urgent issue we were faced with. They were very professional and made sure we were satisfied with the work before they left. They each double checked each other's work and were in and out with no questions asked. BE WARNED. Service quality has declined a lot. Used them several years ago and had a good experience. Used them again recently. Not good. Didn't finish the job and ghosted me. After several weeks, I called and left a message after hours. Never heard from anyone. A week later, called again and was sent to a manager/supervisor voicemail. Still waiting on a response. I'm going to hire another company to finish the job.

I called to have my circuit panel replaced, and was immediately provided a quote and the repairmen were able to come out within a couple of days. Everyone I worked with was knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend this company! I worked with Ken, Kyle, and Brandon.

I have been trying to get an electrician over to my house for 2 weeks to replace some outside floodlight receptacles. American had previously installed a new garbage disposal, so I tried them. The first appointment was a no-show due to rain. There was no follow-up by the office to reschedule, and there was no record of my appointment when I called again. I got another appointment; again no-show even though the weather was favorable, and again, no follow-up by American. The problem seems to be administrative at the office, not the electricians. Regardless, this is unsatisfactory customer service.

Waited until 15 minutes prior to appointment to make an excuse, then showed no desire to fix nor complete the work they were hired for. Absolutely the wrong way to run a business, and will not be using them for any future residential or commercial jobs.
