These guys are absolutely fantastic. A lot of the electrical work that have been done in our ADU had previously been done incorrectly. American electric service came in and fixed everything quickly, affectively and they were very friendly. Yarin is great

CARLOS came out on a Friday evening, 5:20pm. He thought he would be at our home at 3pm but traffic delayed him. He gave excellent service even though he must have been tired. Hubby thought he could replace outlets and dimmer switch but it turned out it was better to have a professional like CARLOS!! He also hung up our new semi-flush mount drum fixture in the dining room. Would recommend him in a heart beat!!!

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the work of American Electric. The work was fine, but lots of details were missed. For example, I had to ask them to make the recessed lighting they installed flush against the ceiling several times. They often did more damage than required when installing new lights, which was then costly to fix. I hate to leave negative reviews, but I'd go with a different electrical service.

I've had 2 jobs done with American Electric Service, and I can tell you they really have a terrible process for quoting projects. On all occasions they come out with a quote that is ridiculously high prices for the job, they then usually wait for you to gawk at the price and then start to negotiate to the actual price. For example I was quoted $1925 to install a tesla outlet, they then told me they would take $600 off, and after i shopped the job around to other vendors they then took $525 off. I've found the only way to actually get to a fair price is to spend quite a bit of effort researching competitive pricing and even at that point, they are priced higher than most electricians in the valley. A word of advice for the management of this company, try offering a fair price from the beginning vs putting the work on the customer to negotiate and find your actual price. Most customers don't have time to not get screwed by your pricing, you might want consider prioritizing retaining customers.

I'm glad I reached out to American Electric Service after trying another company and getting an estimate that was way over what the cost should have been. Yarin came to evaluate the work I needed done and offered to take a look at anything else I needed help troubleshooting. He was helpful, thorough, and did the work quickly and for a fair price. We had a problem with power going out to a section of our house and needed an electrician. Yarin was a great help in figuring out our problems. He was very professional and informative. The whole time he explained everything he was doing and how the problem came to be. Knowing this will help down the line to prevent issues again. I would definitely call them again!
