I needed to trouble shoot my electrical panel, since I had one circuit breaker pop every once in a while at the worse time possible. I requested an appointment with American Electric Services and I could not be happier. The guys that came to do my service call are true professional. Thank you very much George and Henry for taking care of my troubles. They came on the following day available and took care of it. I am very happy with the overall customer service and would definitely recommend them. I will definitely call them back for my electrical troubles and upgrades!! Thanks again George and Henry!!

I made a request on Yelp Thursday afternoon and they were able to come out immediately if needed. George came and fixed our Nest doorbell on Friday morning. Fast and reliable service

Electricians were late by about an hour. They came on a Tuesday to take a look at the job for a quote. They promised that someone would give me the quote that same afternoon. I didn't receive the quote until Monday of the next week (6 days later). They kept telling me they were looking into it and would get back to me, but they never would. I had to keep on prodding them for the quote I paid for.
The electricians themselves were nice and seemed knowledgeable once they arrived. I believe their lateness was caused by the company's bad scheduling and not their fault.

I only have incredible things to say about the service Yarin gave us. We were skeptical at first but when he arrived and we explained what the issues were, our doubts were put to ease. Yarin is very knowledgeable and experienced. So he immediately went around the whole house checking all electric outlets, he went to the garage to check the power coming into the house, he checked the circuit breaker and knew how to solve the issues we were having. It's a blessing my husband found you in yelp and you came out to save the day so to speak. Thank you so much, Yarin.

Interesting it says free virtual estimate on their Yelp page, cuz that is not what they told me.

I sent them the detail of the work needed, they said $25 to get the estimate and if I hire them the $25 would be credit back. With lots of other good electrician options in the area, I really don't find that appealing. So I told them how about I send them pictures on top of all the details given for the quote in case I'm not going to move forward with their service. They just flat-out replied they didn't see any photo so it's going to be $25.

We'll, no thank you! Where is that free virtual estimate again? They do replied mighty fast though to tell me it's not free.

I had an electrical issue tonight - the power in two of the rooms in our home went out. Turns out one of the circuit breakers had tripped, but it wouldn't switch back on. I contacted several electricians through Yelp. Even though it was already after 8:00pm, a couple got back to me immediately. Roi at American Electric Service was one of those. He informed me that he could get someone out early the next day - and his rate to come out was a ridiculously low $25.00!!! As it turns out, someone else suggested I try unplugging everything connected to the circuit and trying the breaker again - and it worked - my power came back on! Even though I didn't end up using American Electric, I was super impressed by their fast response and their super low rates (one electrician that got back to me wanted to charge me $150 and I almost set the appointment with him!), and I will definitely call on American Electric Service for all my future electrician needs!

When American electric Services arrived but couldn't get in through the guard gate in my community because of no Driver's Licences between the two of them. That should have stopped me but I was somewhat desparate to get the electricity back on to the area where it was off. I had already checked all the breakers. They were all working. But after 3 hours of them testing they said a breaker was bad. They spoke with their boss who said he had access to only one of those old Symco breakers and it would run between $800-$1300 !!?? For a 50 dollar breaker? I told him no thanks paid his workers for their attempts to remedy the problem And sent them away.
Found the breaker myself for $50. The workers worked hard but the owner of the company is a money-grabber. Stay away.

This company responded promptly and replaced a bad breaker in an old panel. It was not cheap, but they got it done same-day and I was grateful. $1,000 plus credit card fee poorer, but still grateful. Meanwhile, I asked for a quote to replace four existing panels. The price over the phone was exorbitant, the first quote that came on paper was a few thousand cheaper, and when I explained I still couldn't see how the cost was justified based on what I know of materials and labor costs, the quote came down again. They were very responsive. However, there was a lot schmoozy bullshitting and negotiating, which I really don't like. I got several additional quotes that were significantly cheaper than their quote. Yarin was friendly, but I feel like we both knew he was taking me for a ride. It was embarrassing. I prefer honest, straight-shooting, reasonable contractors who give a fair bid and stick to it. I am not trying to squeeze every last penny out of anyone. I want everyone to make a decent living. I also do not have the extra cashflow to be taken advantage of or interest in haggling.
