I highly recommend Craig for anyone living in the Milpitas area. We live in a townhome built in 2014 and the dimmers come with the house are all very low-quality. Those are the type of switches that can slide up and down to control the lights, and they broke one by one approaching 10 year span. I called Craig on a Monday morning and he was polite, jolly, responsive, and helpful. He made it to come by the next day, showed up with his minivan full of equipments and he recommended a brand of high-quality dimmer switch but I opted in for a regular one and he was cool with it. He did an evaluation and then finished fixing all three dimmers within an hour and he charged less than $200. What can I say folks? This rate at Bay Area sounds surreal to me, call him and book an appointment if lights are not working, you won't regret it.

We were fortunate enough to have Craig do two major projects for my house, including 240-V EV charging and hot tub installation. I was extremely impressed and happy with Craig's top-quality work. He gave accurate estimates, showed me the materials and parts he planned to use, explained the steps involved, gave me safety and maintenance tips, and left everything clean and tidy. He always communicated clearly. Also he was very kind to help out on non-electrical stuff, identified a few problems with my house, and gave me tips on how to fix them. We would not hesitate to hire Craig again.

We had a breaker that started tripping regularly, despite no changes in the electrical load. I called Craig and he came to our house that same evening, after finishing the job he was working on. He quickly replaced the breaker and gave us advice on how to fix the flickering bulbs in our kitchen (hint: don't buy the cheapest bulbs). He was professional and personable and he completed the work for a reasonable fee. I would recommend Alpha Electric and plan to use them again.

We had an electrical problem that was hard to diagnose. We had an electrician provide a fix that was very expensive. Craig, who was the third electrician I contacted in the morning, showed up in the evening and spent 3 hours looking for the problem. He came in the next day and continued to look for the problem. Eventually, the problem was not fixed but Craig provided a fix that was half the cost and he did it the very next day. While he was looking for the problem he shared a lot of useful information about the electrical circuit at home. We really appreciated Craig's professionalism throughout and I would be contacting Craig next time I have an electrical problem at home.

All bathrooms GFCI outlets were not working in the house. Went online and did a quick search for Electrician! Luckily I found the best! Craig from Alpha Electric came all the way from another job in Oakland to San Jose and took care of our outlet problems and more. He was honest and a man of his word. He diagnosed the problem and proceeded with best solution. In addition, he did added work for us by concealing the wires for our mounted TV in the bedroom. His pricing was fair and we would like to make another appointment to have him conceal the wires for our living room TV as well. He is very knowledgeable and experienced in his field. You will be very pleased after he is done with his electrical work around your house! Craig is a legend.

Craig replaced a couple switches and an outlet. It was my mistake that I didn't ask for a quote. There is a minimum fee for coming out. I haven't had minor electrical work performed in a while so I wasn't aware of a minimum fee. The price was more than the last time I had my switches replaced (4 years ago) as I also had other work done and more than anticipated for minor work. Minimum fee makes sense, and his pricing is likely reasonable. Up front communication about minimum fees and pricing would have been appreciated. I would have considered waiting and adding more work as my job wasn't an emergency. Craig is a personable guy, does good work and I'd recommend him for future jobs which is why I still provided a high rating but just make sure to discuss pricing up front with him if he forgets to bring it up.

Craig was really helpful and he did a bunch of stuff for us from installing nema outlet for car charging, outlets and converting switch to wifi ones. He is awesome at the job and doesn't compromise with the quality of material he uses.
