Normally one guy shows up and it's $125 an hour plus parts. This last time for some reason two people showed up without me knowing that in advance. So It was 125+85 for the helper. Nice guys no complaint about that. But I should've been notified that it was $200 an hour instead of 125 because two people were going to show up. And it was to replace an outlet on the ground. Not complicated.

Like many reviewers, we were assigned this company through American Home Shield. I went ahead and gave them the benefit of the doubt, and scheduled them to come out. The technician sent to us was Tom. He was very kind and knowledgeable. Our ceiling fan/light in our family room had stopped working. We were not sure if it was an electrical issue or the fan itself had a problem. This fan is not the easiest in the world to deal with, we put it up ourselves and it was a real pain. Tom handled it with ease, and quickly diagnosed the problem. It was that the remote receiver inside the fan had gone bad and he replaced it and gave us a new remote. We will surely use this company again, and even put in a request for our bath exhaust fan and have asked for this company and in particular, Tom.

Dishonest scumbags.

This is for a ""service"" that was performed a while back, but better late than never. I thought they were out of business but now I see that they just changed their business name.

I had electrical issues and R&R was sent out by my home warranty (yes, AHS) and my breaker box was supposed to have been replaced. The work was ""completed"" while I was not home, but after coming home it was obvious that nothing was done. It was the same old box with the same old breakers.

After calling them on it, they assured me that the work was done. I assured AHS that the work was NOT done and provided pictures. I never spoke with the owner (RICHARD HORN) personally but had the displeasure of speaking with his wife, whose condescending attitude was NOT appreciated (Don't EVER call me ""sweetie"").

Finally, after working with AHS, R&R said that they would come back out to my house. We agreed, but ONLY under the condition that we were going to be there in person to supervise the work. At that point, R&R completely refused to work with us any further. Gee, so you will only come out if we aren't there to watch? Red flag much?

Anyway, there was nothing AHS could do but to send out another electrician, who actually DID the work.

Do yourself a favor and avoid R&R like they plague. They'll be more than happy to collect whatever reimbursement they get from AHS (or what you give them), do no work, and then lie about it.

These people give contractors a bad name. AWFUL. There needs to be more accountability with contractors. Like, if you're a dishonest POS, then you lose your license. Something like that. R&R = exhibit A. Shame on AHS for continuing to work with contractors like this.

This is the worst company my husband and I have ever dealt with (through FAHM as well). The lack of customer service is appalling. First of, you can NEVER get ahold of them. The phone will ring and then go to voicemail which is at least 2 minutes long and full of unnecessary information that you have to listen to in order to leave a message. When you do receive a call back the receptionist/scheduler (her name starts with a T I believe) is INCREDIBLY rude and unprofessional. She has no manners whatsoever, interrupts you as you speak, has an attitude and a quick snarky response for everything. She should not have a customer service job ever, she has no idea how to talk to people. She is number one reason I'm giving this company 1 (or if I could do 0 I would) star and we are calling our home insurance company to change electric companies immediately because I don't ever want to deal with these people again. Even if your electricians are good, good luck retaining customers with a 'fantastic' employee like that.

We bought a fixer upper and had quite a bit of electrical work to do. One of our contractors recommended these guys. They came out right away to wire in two new water heaters and to change our entire electrical service. That was July and August. It's now April, our hot water heater won't stop tripping the circuit and none of the work they've done has been inspected. I've contacted them at least a dozen times asking them to complete their work. They keep telling me that they'll be right out.

Sure you will.

I initially was recommended to Allstar R & R Electrical by American Home Shield. After far to many attempts to contact them we finally got together and they sent someone out. I was told that the work required would not be covered by my AHS contract. I accepted the analysis and asked what they would charge to do the work. I was given an estimate, I agreed to the price and a work order was written. I tried for 3 weeks to contact and/or to be contacted by someone from R & R to set a date for the work to be done. Absolutely to no avail. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. P.S.: the gatekeeper is far to rigid. P.P.S.: I am required to give them at least 1 star in order to list the review, otherwise they would not get even 1 star!

Like most reviewers, I was connected to Allstar R&R electrical through my American Home Shield warranty. After reading reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm glad to tell you that I am very pleasantly surprised and pleased with their service.

My only criticism is that they did take more than 24 hours to reach out and set an appointment. Since my issue was an inconvenience more than emergency, I didn't try to call them first or chase them down in any way. It didn't matter to me that the call was more than 24 hours later.

When someone did call to schedule my appointment, she was courteous and asked me questions to identify my problems before scheduling. She told me what was and wasn't covered.

Mike was the technician dispatched to our house. We purchased the house last summer and have had a few questions about electrical outlets and switches that seemed to act fishy. He checked our GFCI outlets, our main concern, and ensured they were working correctly. He fixed our broken switch and offered us advice on things not covered by our warranty. He was on time and very courteous. We will definitely call them again with any electrical issues we have in the future.

Impossible to contact or schedule an appointment. Woman who answers phone is rude and unhelpful. If your home protection program assigns them to you, just ask for a different electrician.

OMG! They serve American Home Shield and they are terrible. Missed appointment -- put in wrong part on next appointment -- missed appointment to fix that and American Home Shield would not refund money so I could use it to get it fixed by a competent repair person.

American Home Shield and ""Allstar"" - BAD! Service was SAD!

Stay away!
