R&R was assigned my request through American Home Shield on a Saturday morning. I received a call that I missed on Monday afternoon to schedule service. I called back on Tuesday and left another voicemail. R&R called on Wednesday and set the appointment for the following Tuesday between 8 am - 12 pm to service two fans (6 days to get an appointment from the time scheduled). Upon their arrival at 1:30 on Tuesday (an hour and a half late) they told me they would only service one of the fans because their work order only had one fan. R&R said they communicated a window on their work order from 12-5. This was a lie.
R&R additionally proceeded to tell me that when they set the appointment they had informed me that I would need to add a second fan to the work order. This was a also lie. Ultimately after the lies, I told them to leave my house and to have the work order assigned to another vendor from American Home Shield. I implore you to use another contractor if possible. For a service business R&R Electrical Allstar should more appropriately be called ""R&R Electrical Bench Warmers Who Only Made the Team Because Everyone Else Was Already Taken""
Terrible customer service.....I was referred to them by American Home Shield in Sept 2019..to repair light switches, ceiling fan and smoke detectors....multiple visits...wrong parts....missed/late appointments...the last straw was an extremely rude electrician who walked in the door, no hello, no good morning, bad attitude like he didn't want to do the work. With no exaggeration this was the 6th visit to our home and he had no record of what needed to be done, no parts, nothing. I showed him the stack of work orders, he reluctantly calls his office and they direct him to go to home depot to get the smoke detectors, comes back with even more of an attitude and no mask. I moved his ladder and smoke detectors on to the porch and closed the door. Called their office and complained and another electrician was to be assigned. Needless to say I still don't have my smoke detectors up and today, (weeks later) when I call they informed me they would not be servicing my home.
One of the previous electricians told me that's how they operate and he doesn't understand why they end up making multiple visits for these simple repairs. Do not use them.
I had 4 outlets in my kitchen stop working. I also have American Home Shield Warranty so I put in a request for service. I got assigned Allstar R & R electrical, looked up reviews on the company and was not happy with what I saw. But I am very happy with the service that I received! They called me within 2 hours of putting in my service request to set up an appointment. Not only did they call the day of to let me know the technician was on his way, he also arrived before the time they gave me. I was not there to speak to him, but my tenant said he was very professional and answered all of her questions. He was able to reset the outlets and explained to her why they went out. Thank you for the excellent service.
Chase M.This company has provided me with the worst customer experience I've had in a long time.
I had a service representative named Steve that came to my house and was supposed to fix my exhaust vent in my bathroom but didn't complete it. He replaced the exhaust fan motor but left my house knowing that it was still extremely loud. So I called First American to have the company come back out and fix it again (another $75) and when he came out I informed him that he should replace the whole system but he was unwilling and tried to blame it on the home warranty company.
I then contacted the home warranty company and asked them if they had informed him that he wasn't allowed to replace it. They specifically said ""all parts are covered under your warranty"" and the service technician should have replaced your exhaust fan. I know that he was just being lazy and wanted to collect a quick payment from the warranty company but I wanted the job to be done right.
I became even more upset when I later saw on my camera that as he was leaving my house he spit on my driveway. This was his way of showing his distaste for the fact that I wasn't happy he was unwilling to be a professional and complete the job properly.
After speaking with First American Home Warranty again I informed them that I'd like to have another company or representative come and visit my house to fix the problem. I was told that they would ask the company to send out a different representative.
However I received a call today from R&R Electric's manager saying they were unwilling to help. She was very rude and said they wouldn't send out another representative. All of this helps to explain their horrible online reputation.
I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB and my home warranty company. Let's hope that they stop working with this company or the owner makes some serious changes.
Absolutely horrible service. American Home Shield should not work with this company. The technician sent to my house literally refused to fix the issue he was called out to fix. As the tech walked out the door he said ""I guess you'll have to battle it out with the warranty company."" Unbelievable.
Normally one guy shows up and it's $125 an hour plus parts. This last time for some reason two people showed up without me knowing that in advance. So It was 125+85 for the helper. Nice guys no complaint about that. But I should've been notified that it was $200 an hour instead of 125 because two people were going to show up. And it was to replace an outlet on the ground. Not complicated.
Like many reviewers, we were assigned this company through American Home Shield. I went ahead and gave them the benefit of the doubt, and scheduled them to come out. The technician sent to us was Tom. He was very kind and knowledgeable. Our ceiling fan/light in our family room had stopped working. We were not sure if it was an electrical issue or the fan itself had a problem. This fan is not the easiest in the world to deal with, we put it up ourselves and it was a real pain. Tom handled it with ease, and quickly diagnosed the problem. It was that the remote receiver inside the fan had gone bad and he replaced it and gave us a new remote. We will surely use this company again, and even put in a request for our bath exhaust fan and have asked for this company and in particular, Tom.
Montgomery R.Dishonest scumbags.
This is for a ""service"" that was performed a while back, but better late than never. I thought they were out of business but now I see that they just changed their business name.
I had electrical issues and R&R was sent out by my home warranty (yes, AHS) and my breaker box was supposed to have been replaced. The work was ""completed"" while I was not home, but after coming home it was obvious that nothing was done. It was the same old box with the same old breakers.
After calling them on it, they assured me that the work was done. I assured AHS that the work was NOT done and provided pictures. I never spoke with the owner (RICHARD HORN) personally but had the displeasure of speaking with his wife, whose condescending attitude was NOT appreciated (Don't EVER call me ""sweetie"").
Finally, after working with AHS, R&R said that they would come back out to my house. We agreed, but ONLY under the condition that we were going to be there in person to supervise the work. At that point, R&R completely refused to work with us any further. Gee, so you will only come out if we aren't there to watch? Red flag much?
Anyway, there was nothing AHS could do but to send out another electrician, who actually DID the work.
Do yourself a favor and avoid R&R like they plague. They'll be more than happy to collect whatever reimbursement they get from AHS (or what you give them), do no work, and then lie about it.
These people give contractors a bad name. AWFUL. There needs to be more accountability with contractors. Like, if you're a dishonest POS, then you lose your license. Something like that. R&R = exhibit A. Shame on AHS for continuing to work with contractors like this.
Nadya B.This is the worst company my husband and I have ever dealt with (through FAHM as well). The lack of customer service is appalling. First of, you can NEVER get ahold of them. The phone will ring and then go to voicemail which is at least 2 minutes long and full of unnecessary information that you have to listen to in order to leave a message. When you do receive a call back the receptionist/scheduler (her name starts with a T I believe) is INCREDIBLY rude and unprofessional. She has no manners whatsoever, interrupts you as you speak, has an attitude and a quick snarky response for everything. She should not have a customer service job ever, she has no idea how to talk to people. She is number one reason I'm giving this company 1 (or if I could do 0 I would) star and we are calling our home insurance company to change electric companies immediately because I don't ever want to deal with these people again. Even if your electricians are good, good luck retaining customers with a 'fantastic' employee like that.
Ken P.We bought a fixer upper and had quite a bit of electrical work to do. One of our contractors recommended these guys. They came out right away to wire in two new water heaters and to change our entire electrical service. That was July and August. It's now April, our hot water heater won't stop tripping the circuit and none of the work they've done has been inspected. I've contacted them at least a dozen times asking them to complete their work. They keep telling me that they'll be right out.
Sure you will.
