I have been using Allison Electric for over 15 years on all my new builds. I also love working with his son Brett and their team. They have allways done me right. They feel like family! They are helping me now with a new construction in Jonestown.

Allison electric follow up is horrible. We spent around 30k with them on a new build. I have tried to communicate with David Allison 4 times in the past 5 weeks with no response. Considering he owns the company I would think he would take more pride. I do not recommend them.

BEST SERVICE I HAVE HAD IN 20 YEARS OF LIVING IN THE AUSTIN AREA. David Allison arrived on time, diagnosed an issue with flickering lights, repaired the issue and inspected all electrical boxes. The price matched the service....OUTSTANDING.
If you have an issue with the service from this company check the mirror, that is where the issue is.

Allison Electric was the electrical contractor for my new home in Bee Cave. I am more than pleased with their work and their effort to meet all of my requests, including those made AFTER the contracted work was completed. David met me at the site on several occasions t be certain I was pleased with the results.

We own several rental properties and will ALWAYS use Allison Electric. In one house we had them put sky lights in. In another we added additional lighting on the porch, kitchen and upstairs game room. The work was done professionally and quickly at a fair price; and they cleaned up like they had never been there. HIGHLY recommended

Allison Electric was responsible for $15,000 scope of work at our project. After completing the rough-in and collecting their progress payment, we never saw the company again. Their rough-in failed to pass inspection. When they never returned to clear the problem up, I had to fix it for them and call the inspector back to the site. Allison Electric also did not return to the site to complete the finish out. We had to cancel their permit.

Unfortunately, we did not have a positive experience with Allison Electric. On the day Mr David Allison came to bid the job we requested a written contract. He told us he would send it. I did not realize that we would receive it the night before the job was to begin, even though I sent two emails during the two week gap requesting it. It took my husband calling him before it was actually sent. The contract was incomplete one of the items we had discussed the day he bid the job. On the day of the scheduled job, my husband attempted to contact Mr. Allison , but was unsuccessful. Not a good way to start a job. At the end of the day the workers were packing up and leaving, one truck was already gone, when I asked, ""how many Arch Fault breakers did you use"". I was told none. They used the less expensive breakers instead. Although surprised, I was pleased because Mr. Allison had quoted us a price of $50 per Arch Fault breaker. When he gave us the bid and we decided to go with the Arch Fault breakers he elevated the price of the job by $1000, thinking that the job would require 20 Arch Fault breakers. I was pleased that I had just saved $1000, or so I thought. I told the worker that I wanted to walk through the house with him to see exactly what work was done. As we began this my husband came in and started turning on lights. We were very surprised to find that three rooms were completely dead. The worker then checked boxes and also found hot wires in three of them. He was visibly angry with his workers. Several times he stated ""I asked them if they checked all of the boxes. This is a real safety risk"". We were livid that a professional electric crew would leave a job without first checking to make sure the work they did was sound, but even more upset to learn that hot wires were left and could have been disastrous had our grandson or even one of us poked our finger into the box.
We expected to receive a phone call from Mr Allison, knowing that the worker in charge would relay to him the problems. We received nothing for 10 days and then received only the invoice. He had not credited us the $1000, but instead only $500. I sent an email asking him to call my husband. According to my husband Mr. Allison offered no appologies for the less than adequate work done by his employees. My husband reminded him of the quote we were given if using the Arch Fault breakers and since none were used asked why we were only given a $500 credit. He stated that we requested three additional plugs be raised higher on the wall and that charge would be $500. This charge in my mind was extremely inflated and never would we have agreed to a $500 charge for raising three boxes. When my husband addressed the issue of safety concerns Mr Allison offered no response. He and my husband ended up in a shouting match and my husband hung up on him after stating he would receive the monies billed. What have I learned from this. Always get detailed information in the contract. Do not continue with a job if you have to repeatedly ask for a contract and receive it only the night before, leaving no time to discuss any disputes. Always make sure the workers on a job show you what has been done and question it to make sure things were done correctly. When a contractor uses a motto that states 99.9% is not good enough! expect them to mean it.

I was very happy with the service from Allison. David was able to come out the day after I called. He did a good job, was fast and charged me less than I thought it would be. I will definitely use him in the future if the need arises..

Mr. Allison has done the best job ever! He came to fix the breaker on the house within 1 hour after my call. And this was on a Saturday! He got the A/C back on right away and completely fixed the 23-year-old breaker box.
