Overall A+. Excellent communication, customer service, reliability. Allied delivered: i. a great product; ii. delivered it on time; and iii. was a pleasure to deal with. I was in a hurry to get solar for my house after learning of the pending net metering change. In looking for a recommendation, I remembered my local temple had just installed solar. I asked the temple leader if he liked his vendor and he said so much so that this vendor was currently installing solar on his parents' house. Allied Solar and Electric was that vendor, so I contacted them. Allied recommended that I still go ahead and call three of the other major solar installers in San Diego for site visits, quotes, and to learn about their proposals. Allied ended up offering me the best and most informed site visit and proposal. Allied was the only vendor who sent an installer who seemed much more informed/capable to walk me through everything than the other vendors who sent sales people. Allied was the only vendor which proposed a lower cost panel set-up. The other vendors were steering me towards fancier panels that acquired more power per square foot. Allied explained that actually a lower cost, larger size panel set-up would produce more kilowatts, and the overall cost would be lower. So, more kilowatts, more panel coverage, but less cost! The Allied rep who presented the proposal, Luis, was the same person who came to install it. Allied was white glove and turn-key. They handled everything very gracefully and with excellent proactive communication. We felt in good hands from start to finish: sign-up, through permitting, installation, system turn-on, and in follow-up conversations as we were learning how to analyze our results (we have paid less than zero for electricity just as Allied estimated). They were a great stress-free solution on what was (for us) a big and complicated endeavor. We have since recommended Allied to two friends who have both had similarly good experiences.
