Following his service in the US Marine Corps, Melvin attended a technical school in Arizona to study plumbing and HVAC. Once he graduated, Melvin joined a well-regarded plumbing company in the Phoenix area. After relocating to Georgia and working for several plumbing firms, he realized that none matched the operational excellence of the Arizona company.
In 2003, Melvin and his wife Melissa, also a veteran, established Allgood Plumbing, guided by the principle of treating others as they wish to be treated, a philosophy that remains at the core of Allgood today.
In 2013, we broadened our services to include electrical work and technicians, becoming Allgood Plumbing and Electric. The business has expanded further, introducing HVAC services in January 2016 based on requests from our valued customers.
Allgood Plumbing, Electric, Heating & Cooling now boasts a team of over 50 licensed and skilled professionals who embody our company values.

This place really needs to work on their communication. I called the first time and was told I would have someone come between 8-12pm. I explained to them that I had to be gone by noon so if they could come early that would be great. I called the morning of because it was around 10am only to be told they would not make it before I had to leave (strike one). So I figured okay I'll give them another chance. so I called back to re-schedule for Sunday from 2-6pm. I called on Sunday just to be sure they were coming only to be told they had me down for the following Sunday (strike two). Seriously??? I felt this was extremely unprofessional.

My elderly parents had a major plumbing issue, we called Allgood and explain the situation in detail and the plumber that showed up without the equipment needed and said he would have to come back the next day. I guess this happens but tried reaching management to complain and they were unresponsive. We called another plumbing service and they had the problem resolved the same day and my parents were able to move back in their house (from a hotel) the next day.

They said everything I wanted to hear on the phone. Then when they showed up at our house - they didn't have the necessary equipment for the job. It was for a second quote so we knew what to ask for when we called. I specifically asked if they would be prepared to do the work when they arrived and Vanessa told me ""Yes"". I just called and spoke w Ashley. I caught her in 3 minor lies in our one conversation in which her manager was either ""not at his desk"" or ""not answering his phone"". I say the second one was the true response. So since I wasn't able to complain to their management - I'm letting you know here. To explain my obvious irritation - my parents, who are elderly (my dad is disabled) had to move into a hotel bc of severe flooding. My dad can't use a regular bed and a hotel is difficult at best w wheel chair and oxygen tank. And my mom had to leave him there alone to meet the Allgood plumber - and now we are back to the beginning trying to find someone who can get out there to fix their house.

Updates on 2/2/16:
The servicemen finally came out to replace my furnace. They were friendly and quick and the heat seems to be working so far.
I'd rate all good 3.5 if we could do half ratings but since we can't I'm at least improving my original rating from 2 to 3.

I'm really disappointed and frustrated by the service or lack there of I've received from All Good - namely, the horrible customer service they've provided me.
During a really cold spell in mid January my heat started malfunctioning. The downstairs wouldn't warm up but the upstairs would get into 70s. I called All good on a Monday, got an appointment for Wednesday after noon - not bad.
On Wednesday Jan 18, a serviceman came out to inspect my heat and said some heat thing was cracked and I need a new furnace. But because it was cracked he had to turn off the gas to my heat. So when average temp was mid/high 30s during the the day and less during the evening All good turned my heat off and I was left with no house heat. I was told someone would call me to discuss options the next day.
I assumed I'd get a call right away since it was so cold and they knew I had no heat, but I was wrong. I had to call them when by 2pm the next day (Thursday) I hadn't heard from anyone.
I finally got ahold of the person assigned to work with me who said he had a lot of clients that day and hadn't gotten around to me yet. He passively aggressively suggested he would pull over on the side of the road to send me information. He ended up sending me information by 10pm that Thursday night (now I'm two days without house heat with outside temps in mid to high 30s and inside house temp around low to mid 50s).
I responded to the email with a few follow up questions on Friday morning got no response so called again on Saturday afternoon. Finally got an email respond on Sunday.
I called so frequently trying to get communication the phone staff knew who I was.
I was finally able to set up an appointment for a new furnace for today (2/1/16). It was supposed to be an afternoon appointment. At no point did I get a reminder email or follow up about today's appointment (made last week). When I contacted my rep around noon to see if I was still in for today I was told the guys were behind schedule and wouldn't be able to get to me today. WTF?!?
Why did I have to contact them to find this out? I left work early to be home for this appointment I was supposed to have and now I have to be home tomorrow and hope they show up to do the work.
I don't know why I have had to constantly chase down All Good to communicate with me and to do the work. I've never had to work this hard to spend thousands of dollars.
Maybe because they've turned my heat off they know my options are limited and aren't giving appropriate customer care. Or maybe they've grown too popular from Yelp reviews and are neglecting customers.
Either way, this has been an unpleasant experience. I've had no house heat since Jan 18 and still don't have any. I've basically been sequestered into two small rooms with an electric heater.

I had a leaky toilet that needed to be addressed along with some other minor issues in my house. They charged me over $300 to replace 3 seals. In hindsight I could have had a a decent new toilet installed for the same price. Option was never offered to us. Plus I have a kitchen faucet that was loose that I asked to be tightened but the plumber said he didn't have the tool to complete this, which I found hard to believe. I know the tool, I didn't want to shell out $25 at The Home Depot for a one time use job. Maybe just lazy. I would get a second opinion or quote before going with these guys. I won't call them again.

We will definitely stick with Allgood Plumbing, specifically Gareth E. We called Allgood to originally fix one of our shower diverters, but then called Gareth from Allgood for additional work as he was very honest, professional, knowledgeable, and had excellent follow-up.
We called him back for a second job to fix initially a leak in our upstairs bathroom. While he was there, we also inquired about our downstairs bathroom. He quickly diagnose the issues with both and fixed both issues (leaks) quickly and with very high quality. We plan to use Gareth from now on from Allgood for any of our plumbing needs and highly recommend him to anyone.

Allgood came out today (technician was Taylor) to look at our ductwork.
A previous company had put Dampers in, but they actually made the problem worse (1930's 2 story house on 1 furnace).
Taylor recommended Using Duct and Register Booster Fan, instead of just trying to sell us an expensive system we ddin't need. Out of 4 different companies, he was the only one to suggest an affordable option, even if it meant his company wouldn't make money off of it.

I have a rental property and my property manager suggested Mr. Sparky come out to fix an electrical problem I was having with some outlets not working. They came out and said that my electrical panel busbar was melted and I needed a new panel and that it would cost $5000. I decided to get a 2nd opinion which was when I called Allgood to come out and take a look at it. Paul from Allgood took a look at the panel and said that everything looked great but that I had 2 bad breakers that needed to be replaced. He went out there knowing that the prior company had said the panel was bad and could have easily over sold me but he was honest and I really appreciated that. I then asked him out of curiosity if he were to replace my electrical panel how much it would cost and he said $1800. So not only did Mr. Sparky flat out lie about the repair needed he also quoted me $3200 higher than what it should have been. Thanks allgood for being honest and fair.

So I have an emergency and called them:
The first time the message agent said someone will return my call within 10 minutes, but no one called me in 2 hours.
After I call back it appears that they took my number wrong. The message agent corrected my contact info and said my call will be high priority and someone will call me back with in 10 minutes.
But I don't get the call either after another 2 house. So I have to call to them for the 3rd time, and this time the agent said the manager will return my call. The manager did return my call in 10 minutes but he said they are very busy and will not go to my places!!!
It just ridiculous to call them 3 times in ad day and wait for an entire day in hope someone could came but they just say they are busy....

I have to say that Gareth and Allgood did a great job. I wasn't thrilled about having to call a plumber and facing the expense of some banging I was having in the walls. I had one of two thoughts of what may be causing the sound but Gareth was able to diagnose the problem (which wasn't one of my two thoughts...surprise) and repair the issue in under an hour. The voucher on Yelp made the expense even better.
I would recommend Gareth and Allgood to those having a plumbing need. I called on a Monday and he was here Tuesday morning and did a great job!
Thanks Gareth!
