On May 13,2022 we hired All Wire Electric to provide and install a whole home surge protector. They also billed us to tighten two outlets. Little did we know, we were charged $450 for the installation of a $63 Eaton Surge protector breaker not a whole house surge protector.

On July 10, 2023 All Wire Electric returned to our home to check on some outlets in our bathroom, living room, and lanai.

The electrician from All Wire told us that if we wanted whole house surge protection we needed a $200 Eaton Ultra Whole House Surge Protector. We were told it would have to pay $650 to have this installed.

We already paid $450 in 2022 for something we didn't get.

Upon speaking to the owner Santos we were told they would discount the price to $450. In other words, we would have to pay another $450 ($900 total) to get something we should have already had. He was very surly and had an attitude.

What a ripoff! We would never recommend All Wire Electric to anyone. We should have been taken of the first time they were here. We had no idea what they had done to us.

Thought it was important to respond to the owner's response that he felt it was not his company I reviewed on my previous post. The quote sheet said ""All Wire Electric"" the employee had a name that began with Aa. And finally, you never sent a quote because I told your guy not to bother. He even called 10 minutes after he left to try and knock $1200 off the quote which still left an amount almost double industry standard. If you didn't know this estimator was doing this, your welcome. If you did, shame.

Two men showed up on time to do our work. However, they both identified themselves as apprentices, not licensed electricians, and no licensed electrician was with them to supervise them. The owner phoned and said he was the licensed electrician, he had 100 employees, and they had worked for him for five years. When my wife asked why they said they were apprentices, he said it was because they hadn't ""taken the test yet,"" but ""that doesn't matter."" He claimed, ""you're not to get any licensed electrician to come out to your house.""
