We recently hired Rob Tardi (the owner) to handle installing a brand new central HVAC system into our century-old house with Nest integration and zoning. This included removing old A/C and heater units from the walls. Rob was personally involved in the installation. My interaction with him from the start was very professional; he was transparent regarding what was and wasn't covered under his estimate and his contract was very detailed. The job took about a week and Rob wanted to make sure we understood how the system works and walked us through everything upon completion. Very glad we went with his company!

Their sub-contractor Tim, who is an unlicensed contractor, showed up and was very negligent. He put his metal case on new marble countertops and when I asked him to place it elsewhere, he began to argue with me. Then he asked to use a bathroom, said he had been driving a long ways. When I said there was no toilet paper, he said he carried around baby wipes and could use those.

He spent three hours and at the end, said that his report would be written up by another general contractor based on his notes. The report that I did receive had ZERO pictures, identified ZERO problems (he said it wasn't his job, he wasn't equipped) and provided little insight into what repairs actually needed to take place. For instance, he recommended that we upgrade to Nest thermostats. The A/C wasn't working, this will NOT address that issue. Then he said that h verbally told me they were not cooling without taking a picture of the difference in temperature on the thermostat. Am I supposed to verbally tell the Sellers that and they should accept my word?

As for electric panels and wiring, he provided no pictures even though he took off the covers to inspect them and the house was built in 1923. I e-mailed Tim who provided what looked like an amateur list of control panels (manufacturers and dates) along with their function but not what needed to be repaired. Many outlets were missing covers including outlets that are on the exterior with no shelter. He mentions this but providers no specifics and no evidence.

$510 later I do not have an inspection report to provide to the listing agent on behalf of my clients. I called to address this problem with the front office who assured me that in 35 years of business they have never had a complaint.

Rob Tardi replaced the electrical panel, installed a ceiling fan and 2 bathroom fans. The job was tough - the bathroom fans had a tight fit. Rob did am amazing job with all three projects. He was on time, neat , and professional. I recommend his company and wiil use him again.

We had our AC hooked up by a different company before we found Rob. Rob came to hook up our heater, but was also able to point out several safety things the other guys did wrong. He was able to type them up so that we could have the other guys fix them. Rob is very very knowledgeable, timely, professional and does high quality work. His work is very neat and he cleans up well. I would highly recommend him.

Years ago Rob earned our trust on his first service visit for HVAC work on our house because of his professionalism, great customer service, really fair pricing. We've used him ever since, most recently a few days ago, on a triple digit day, when our 14 year old roof unit was making wrong noises and would not shut off. Yep, my AC went down on the hottest day ever recorded in Burbank. The contractor that American Home Shield dispatched could not get here for several days. So I called ten AC companies, mostly all referrals off of nextdoor.com. I had mixed results with attempting to leave messages, etc. I am so happy to tell you first off that Marilyn in Rob's office was an absolute delight. Rob arrived on time today (one day after I called) and was the epitome of professionalism and so very pleasant. He got me up and running quickly, answered all of my questions, explained everything thoroughly and charged me a very fair price. Can't say enough good things about All Power Services.
UPDATE - JULY 3
The AC went out again yesterday so I called Rob. He offered to come today - on a Sunday - during a three day weekend. He arrived early, as polite and professional as before and found a broken switch that needed to be replaced. He fixed it quickly and charged me an extremely fair price. This is the kind of service that keeps people coming back. I will refer all of my friends and neighbors to All Power Services in the future.

This review specifically reflects the Electrician (Tim) they sent out to us. We needed a fast turnaround and All Power accommodated us which was good. They sent out an electrician (Tim) to look at our HVAC and electric panels. Tim arrived an hour late. After introductions, he entered the house walked into the kitchen and started to undo the belt on his pants. Creepy, I know. My Fiancee offered him the use of the bathroom, but he ignored her as he slipped a meter holster onto his belt and then put it back on.

He looked at the HVAC and panels. I shadowed him asking questions. He told me that because I was asking questions, he would not be able to take notes. I asked him if that would be a problem, he said no. For some reason I let myself believe him.

The Zinsco electric panel we need replaced was in the kitchen. When he looked at it and removed the cover he noted issues with it and stated that it needed to be replaced. When re-attaching the cover he decided to add some screws to secure it better, so he found wood screws and drilled them into metal stripping it completely. It is now impossible to remove without cutting into the wall.

He looked at an outlet near the sink and noted that it needed to be GFCI. Then when re-attaching, he cracked it.

He noted numerous issues regarding grounding and other GFCI circuits. I asked about fixing the Mastik on the roof, as well as replacing some circuits on the main panel for safety. He agreed. I told him that we didn't want to replace the panel, he agreed.

When he delivered his report (an hour before my deadline) he didn't include about 75% of what we talked about. Furthermore, he gave an estimate for replacing the back panel which we specifically stated we did NOT want to do.

As this inspection was part of our contingencies for a home purchase, his poor demeanor, lack of professionalism and horrendous listening skills were reflected in his report making it barely useful. Even our realtor and her firm were upset about how this all happened. If this is reflective of how other employees at All Power are, they should be seen as highly rated and one could assume that they are only so because of gaming Yelp.
