We decided with all the power outages PG&E promises to bestow upon us in the coming fire season to have an electrician come out and install a generator hookup directly into the main panel of our home. Having known Dirk McDougle personally for a few years, we contracted him for the job and weren't disappointed. He accomplished exactly what we wanted for a reasonable price. We would highly recommend All Power and Lighting for any of your electrical needs, both for your home or business.

Dirk was recommended by my dad, a licensed contractor, after several lights and power outlets died with no explanation. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time and identified the issue within 15 minutes and had it fixed within in hour. While he was there, he even upgraded a couple of outlets for us with no additional charge (we supplied the parts). Great guy with a sense of humor, and you know your money is staying in the community!

Firstly, I want to thank Dirk for taking on our three projects and not abandoning the challenging one. We had five electricians previously look at our mystery challenge and they were never to return. Dirk had the patience to troubleshoot our mystery challenge, one section at a time, until he resolved the problem. Thank you! And he talked me through the process, giving me a bit of an education along the way.

He also installed a ceiling fan and added two outdoor electrical outlets controlled by a switch on the inside of our house for lighting on our new deck. Yahoo, I couldn't be more thrilled!

I would definitely recommend Dirk if you are looking for a great electrician. He is super knowledgeable, dependable, honest, patient, meticulous, timely, and reasonably priced. And he is also a super nice guy!

I suddenly had a dead circuit in my garage and the cause of the problem was beyond me (not breakers or a tripped GFI). I got ""All Power and Lighting's"" name from a colleague who has used them several times and highly recommended them. I called and got right through to Dirk McDougal and described the problem to him. Dirk came to my house within the hour to troubleshoot and give an estimate. I was able to schedule him a few days later to come fix the problem.

Dirk did an amazing job. He was on-time, consciencous and is super friendly (my wife and 10 year old thought he was funny and nice). He is very knowledgeable and confident and I learned that his professional background is actually very extensive; he's been a residential, commercial and an industrial electrician for 20+ years and now has started his own business. (I like to support small business!)

While Dirk was here, I added several things to the project like adding some 20A outlets inside my garage plus an outdoor GFI circuit, along with other minor electrical repairs. His orientation the whole time was always to try to save me money. Dirk was fair and honest in his billing and very generous with his time. He also has a strong work ethic and made certain everything was done to my satisfaction.

I asked a lot of questions as Dirk was working and he indulged my curiosity by explaining what he was doing every step of the way, and he seemed to welcome my questions.

Dirk is my new go-to guy for anything electrical! I will be sending a big thank you to my friend who referred him to me. I highly recommend Dirk (All Power Electric) if you need an electrician.

I called All Power and Electric for home service repair. He was easy to get a hold of, and able to provide me with same-day service (Sunday), though I opted for Monday service. He was here promptly at 8am, was knowledgeable and professional and very friendly. I also felt charges were fair for job done. I will definitely use Dirk in the future for any service needs.
