Call me particular - walked into the shop convinced I knew exactly the type of fans I wanted to replace the ones from 1987.
The owner, Jan, proceeded to ask lots of questions about how we used the areas, etc. And explained why SOME fans MOVE more air.
After deciding to go with her recommendations, the results are AMAZING.

Jan helped us pick out several ceiling fans for our home. She is great! When we didn't see anything in her showroom, she sat down with us and went through manufacturer catalogs. Jan spent at least two hours going through books with us, explaining about air flows and giving us install tips. We were looking for ceiling fans with a high lumen output on the light and when we found a fan we liked in the book, she found a fan in her showroom with similar lumens so we could see the brightness of the light. Jan is very knowledgeable about fans and we were really happy that we made the hour drive to her shop. We had tried several other lighting companies that were closer to home but nothing compared to the customer service she provided. We highly recommend this small, local business.

I have been a customer of Jan's for 30 years. She has always been my go to person for all my repairs, fans, lamps and shades. I was in the shop yesterday for restoration and a shade for an antique lamp. Jan spent an hour on it getting it just right. It will be beautiful and I can't wait to get it back.
