In 1980, Alison Service Company started as a provider of electrical services focusing on wiring retail stores and homes. In 1991, we were contacted from a major retail maintenance organization to provide electrical services for retailers throughout Southern California.

Over the years, we began offering other repair and maintenance services alongside our electrical contracting services. As we gained expertise, and getting to know our clients, our list of trades expanded. The need for expanded services prompted us to acquire licenses for general contracting and plumbing alongside our electrical contracting license.

Long before my arrival, my dad opened his electrical contracting company in the Covina region. As soon as we could swing a hammer, he brought me, my older sister, and younger brother to the jobs he was working on. I have fond memories of discovering bits of wiring and conduit and creating ""art"" with my siblings to keep busy while our father worked.

We experienced him leaving family events to handle urgent matters, frequent phone calls and meetings, and, naturally, late nights working. Although he was often occupied, he remained deeply engaged in our lives, coaching our sports teams, being there for every event and showing up when we needed him.

When I graduated high school, my dad was working with homeowners and commercial clients in the San Diego area. I relocated to San Diego and took on the role of my father's assistant. I helped install ceiling fans, install outlets, connect recessed lighting, handle his scheduling and billing. Today, my siblings and I are at the helm and we are thrilled.
