In 1980, Alison Service Company was launched as an electrical contractor focusing on the wiring of retail spaces and residential properties. In 1991, ASC was approached by a nationwide retail maintenance firm to offer electrical solutions for retailers throughout Southern California.

As we progressed, we began offering additional maintenance and repair services beyond electrical contracting. As we gained expertise, and getting to know our clients, our list of trades expanded. The need for expanded services led us to obtain a general contractor and plumbing license in addition to our electrical contracting license.

Prior to my birth, my father started his own business in Covina. Once we were able to use a hammer, he would take me, my older sister, and younger brother to the jobs he was working on. I have fond memories of finding scraps of wiring and conduit and crafting ""art"" alongside my siblings to stay occupied while our dad worked.

We grew up with him leaving family functions to address emergencies, constant phone calls and meetings, and, naturally, late nights working. Although he was often occupied, he was heavily involved in our lives, coaching our sports teams, being there for every event and being there when we needed him most.

After finishing high school, my father was providing services to residents and businesses in the San Diego area. I moved to San Diego and started assisting my father. I helped install ceiling fans, install outlets, connect recessed lighting, do all of his scheduling and invoicing. Today, my siblings and I are at the helm and we are thrilled.
