In 1980, Alison Service Company was launched as a specialist in electrical contracting focusing on the electrical needs of retail and residential locations. In 1991, ASC was approached from a major retail maintenance organization to provide electrical services to retailers across Southern California.

Over the years, we began offering additional maintenance and repair services in addition to electrical contracting. As we gained expertise, and building relationships with our clients, our list of trades expanded. Requests for additional services prompted us to acquire both general contracting and plumbing licenses in addition to our electrical contracting license.

Before I was born, my father launched his own electrical contracting business in the Covina area. As soon as we could swing a hammer, he brought me, my older sister, and younger brother to the jobs he was working on. I cherish the memories of finding scraps of wiring and conduit and creating ""art"" with my siblings to entertain ourselves while our father was busy.

We experienced him leaving family events to address emergencies, frequent phone calls and meetings, and many late nights at work. Although he was often occupied, he was heavily involved in our lives, mentoring our sports teams, attending every game and showing up when we needed him.

Upon my high school graduation, my father was providing services to residents and businesses in San Diego. I made my way to San Diego and took on the role of my father's assistant. I would assemble ceiling fans, put in outlets, wire recessed lighting, do all of his scheduling and invoicing. Today, my siblings and I are at the helm and couldn't be happier.
