Outstanding service and results! Eric the dispatcher and Steve the technician were courteous and clear in their explanations of repair options. Repairs produced the desired results.

As with some of the reviews below, I definitely did NOT have a good experience with Aleco Electric. I was assured that the electrician was going to follow the Covid safety procedures including wearing a mask. Electrician did not put on his mask until I asked him about it and then asked him to put it on. Electrician was not very helpful in helping to resolve my main issues so I ended having to go to the hardware store to get a piece to resolve it. Electrician was very terse about answering questions which I had. In the end he did but with some attitude. I did call Eric at the main office who listened to my complaint and lowered my fee for poor service. (I was not interested in the money but just wanted thorough and friendly service). I will never use this company again.""

Called this company because my AC kept tripping breaker, causing fan to shut off, it was Labor Day weekend and this is the only company that was available. Jayson/technician came out, checked voltage of breakers (did not check anything else) and said everything was fine and to contact AC company, so I paid 400+ since it was off hours for him to basically to do nothing. Company called me back to try and schedule another appointment to change whole panel out and quoted me 4000+. I told them I do not need the whole panel changed I just need the AC breaker and they refused to do it.
Had a different electric company come out today, actually TOOK BREAKER OUT to see if there was any issues, breaker was really bad and had some corrosion on it, which actually slightly melted the ""bus"", WHICH WAS CAUSING BREAKER TO TRIP.
Wouldn't recommend this place
Ps
They also quoted me 400+ for the breaker to be changed, other company did it for 250.

Do not use them, you'll be SO sorry. They talk a good talk, but they
up sell people. They are especially good at taking advantage of seniors and disabled people. That is their specialty. Selling people more than they need, by lying, and collecting huge deposits up front. See older reviews on this page, there are plenty of persons who were wronged, just like myself and my elderly, very sick husband who is on hospice care, and oxygen. Believe me, they do not care!
They did ok work at first glance. But when I came to inspect the job, the installer started telling me how I needed $25,000, yes 25 thousand more of more work done! He didn't even bother to show me the sub panel box that he finished installing just that day! I was so distressed and distracted by what he told me, I forgot to look at my control box that I paid $2500 for! And Juan didn't bother to show me. He just kept asking for the check, didn't want me to look around. Then I discovered one whole room didn't light up! They had their truck running and were ready to go. Turned out, one of the new breakers was faulty right out of the box. That tells me, they didn't even bother to TEST THEIR WORK before starting their engines and hopping in their truck.
By this time I forgot all about getting my new breaker box being labeled. And Juan, was more than happy to conveniently forget that also, it saved him another hour of work! He just let it go! I didn't know what any of the switches operated, a minor detail, you think?
Ma'am,.....Where's the check, again and again...I stalled another moment.
I explained it would be post dated by 3 days, as per our original agreement with the office, employee Eric; when they persuaded me to have my job done 5 days early to fill a cancellation hole in their schedule.
They cashed my check immediately upon leaving my house. My bank account became overdrawn! Turns out, Eric stated to me on the phone later, that he has absolutely NO CONTROL over when checks are cashed. Then why did he okay my post dated check and lead me to believe that all would be just fine. Stress!!!
That same installer, Juan, cashed my check. Or so the office said, but they lie at the office too. They promise, and they lie, and then they lie some more. They do NOT follow through on their work. It was a nightmare, for myself and my elderly husband who is on oxygen. He was so distressed, he had to take more Ativan that day and call his hospice nurse. Aleco did not care! He could've died on the spot, those people would not care. No heart, no customer ethics here.
There was never an apology for any of this. They treated my like they thought I was an entitled bitch. And I assure you, I am anything but. I like a job done well, and my concerns listened to. They do not listen, they do not care, but you damn well better have that credit card ready pronto, because they DO CARE about their money. That is all they care about.
If you like respect from service workers, don't hire them. If you like to be listened to, don't hire them. If you like your home cleaned up when they are done, don't hire Aleco. If you like the work you paid for explained to you, to your satisfaction don't call Aleco. And they never returned my calls, not once!
I have owned my home for 40 years, and I have had innumerable service people out here during that time. This was, by far, one of the worst experiences I have EVER had.
They did offer a senior discount, so that was nice.
But, as it turns out, it wasn't nearly enough to cover the pain and suffering we went through, trying to get the job finished properly. They sent George to finish the work. George was awesome.
Beware of their whippersnapper salesman Steve Daly, and Juan the installer, and Eric at the desk.
Eric will promise you the moon, and deliver nothing.
Save yourself some trouble, and keep looking down the alphabet further.
Do NOT HIRE Aleco Electric.
Had they made any of this right for me, or apologized, I would never have written this review. But they didn't apologize, and they didn't even cover my bank fees for cashing my check early. Said they would send a check and they did not.
And of course, they did not wear masks. Aleco Electric. Put them on your do not call list. And thank you for reading reviews. We all help each other right?

I've used Aleco three times now after recently moving into this house built in the 50s. This house is a mess to say the least.
Just today Mike came by and helped troubleshoot and resolve yet another wiring fiasco we found in our kitchen. He knocked it out quickly and I can easily say it was not something I wanted to fix on my own.
We have our kitchen back in working order and if anything else is needed again I'll be sure to request Mike for another visit!
Thanks again, Mike and Aleco Electric!

Run away, don't walk! I called Aleco for what I thought was a loose wire. I was told it would be $59 to come out and then $66 per half hour there after. If I had the work completed the $59 would be waived. Pretty sure it was the wire I agreed. Jayson went in to the attic, traced the wire (about 4 minutes) then worked for another 3-4 minutes and said ""ok, check it"". I checked and it was working. Jayson came down and confirmed it was a loose wire. Then proceeds to tell me the total is $291. I thought he was joking. I questioned it and explained I was told it would be $59 to come out and then $66 per half hour there after. He said ""no, that's for trouble shooting"". I explained that was not what I was told. He said nothing could be done. It was $66 to trace the wire an and $225 to tighten the wire nut. I have never seen such an abusive case of price gouging. I am the owner of two small businesses and I could not sleep at night if I gouged people like this. I will be filing many more complaints and reviews.

I was so disappointed with this company. After speaking with someone on the phone, I was assured that the electrician would have a mask. Not only did he arrive without a mask, he told my husband that masks did no good and asked him if he had the virus. I would never hire this company again, nor would I recommend them to anybody else! My aunt just had a horrible experience with Aleco. She has dementia and lives with a disabled son. The estimator gave her a price of $24,000 for a job and took her check $1500 deposit without giving her time to speak to any of her other children or get another estimate. The estimator did casually tell another relative, when we called them to figure out what was happening, that she had said she might have to take out a loan to do the work. They began work immediately and kept the deposit even though her son pulled them off the job as soon as he heard about it. They left the house electrical in an unsafe state. Another electrician has since done the job for a third of that price. I consider this preying on a vulnerable senior citizen.
