Alan came in to my office for an estimate at 6:30pm, bought the needed supplies and had the work done that same night. His work was great and he shows up when he says he will without giving you a 4 hour window like some of those other guys. Thank you sooo much!

Alan was quick--but he would not show me a bill of sale and when I pushed he said he could just take the hot water heater out!

What a find -- thanks Yelp! Yelp is SO much better than Angies List!! I had such a good experience with Mr. Goldberg. He came out, assessed the problems and then came back THAT night with parts and fixed everything quickly and SO reasonably. I am hoping our HOA will hire him for a structural job that we have.
HIGHLY recommended!!!!

I hired Alan Goldberg for an extensive upgrade to my 1970s two-bedroom condo. His work exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to use his services again (and probably will) or to recommend him to friends and neighbors.
The work included removing the acoustic ceiling (the cottage cheese or popcorn, as some people call it), painting the entire place, putting crown moulding in the bedrooms, ripping out the fluorescent lighting in the kitchen and removing a particularly ugly light fixture and replacing it with recessed lighting and putting in new doors and door handles throughout. He upgraded all the electrical outlets and switches.
He seems to have a compulsive need to fix things that are broken. He repaired the air conditioning and three slow drains (which required a trip to Home Depot for parts) for only the price of the parts, even though they weren't part of the project.
Even though the bathrooms also weren't part of the project, he put in new lights, removed some mold from a skylight and even painted and scrubbed the place clean. He didn't charge for this.
His crew was friendly, respectful of my property and highly skilled. They did great work. A few small cracks in the walls, possibly caused by the building settling over the years, are gone. My place looks great.
I went on vacation while the work was done. When I returned a week later, the crew was cleaning up. He had 7-8 men working full-time on the project. He even brought in someone to dust and polish my furniture when they were done.
He has a good sense of what looks great and what needs to be done. He and his crew (his wife works with him) put in long days 7 days a week to get the job done.

Called Alan at 8:35 a.m. with a kitchen-full of dead outlets. He arrived at my house at 9:00 a.m., fixed the problem, diagnosed a much bigger problem (think electricity gone haywire), which he will be fixing this afternoon for a very reasonable price. And this was the first time I ever called him!! Needless to say, he is now my go-to guy for home repair.

He came, he saw, he got it done quick!
If you send email, he gets it - if you call, he has a good cell phone and he answers the phone, which is a hard thing to find these days!
Highly recommended.

He was fast, did really great work - and this was all at the last minute.
I was very pleased with his work and highly recommend him.

Alan was totally awesome. We had a leaky dishwasher as well as a buzzing halogen fixture that was driving us nuts, and Alan fixed both in record time. Super nice guy and great work. Highly recommend!!!

My mother needed the ceiling fan in her bedroom replaced and the wiring on that fan and the one in her living room brought up to Code. (Apparently you're not allowed to just have a cord tacked across the ceiling and running down the wall to a plug. It must either be covered with special moulding or run behind the ceiling and walls, and then connect to a switch. Who knew?) I had gotten a couple of bids, but I had to take Mom's finances into consideration and the bids were too high.
My sister sent me a link to electricians in the area and I found Alan Goldberg. His men came out and took a look and gave Alan a report about what they thought should be done. He wanted to check it out personally to see if it was possible to do the job a different way (it wasn't), and then he did the work himself with one of his men.
Scheduling was a little tough, but it was worth the wait. He showed up on time and worked quickly, and he did his best to keep the cost reasonable.
Both fans are humming away and Mom is now up to Code. Thanks Alan.

This guy is awesome. Showed up on time. Followed the right procedures to determine the problem. Came up from under the house to inform me that the last guy had cut a wire and tied it together so that he could make more money off me. Then said ""no charge""! (I obviously gave him money anyway)
Can't recommend him enough. Smart. Fair. Knows his stuff. And someone to trust.
