Dave was fantastic. He is friendly, communicates well and showed up on both occasions at our appointed time. He was patient and thorough as we walked through the relatively small home job scope. He was very neat...everything works (and looks) great! And, as others have posted, he is very reasonably priced. We will definitely be referring him to others and keep his card handy for future jobs. It was easy to make an appointment with Dave and he came on time. He has a very pleasant personality, very easy to work with.
He did an awesome job of installing an external light under some constraints of moving wire through the wall, but he patiently figured out, and didn't charge extra from original estimate.

I would highly recommend him and would hire him again for any electrical need.

I have a kitchen fluorescent light panel with four bulbs, and two of them were not showing any signs of life despite brand new bulbs. Dave replaced the ballast and rewired them in less than an hour, so now the lights all work perfectly. He was very friendly and especially enthusiastic about his electrical craft. I would definitely call him again should I need his services!

Dave has been my electrician for at least 6 years and I use him for every job (everything from a dryer circuit install, a kitchen remodel, new outlets, the time I blew out my entire condo by accidentally short-circuiting a 220V outlet). Dave is a really, really nice guy and a great to work with. I had him move an electrical outlet, ground a few outlets and install a cable line. Everything went great. His rate is very reasonable too ($75/hr at the time of this writing). Of all the contractors, etc, I've had to work with on my new home, Dave has been my best experience. Highly recommended.

I called Alan Electric on Christmas Eve because our daughter (and tenant) bathroom light fixture smelled smokey. Dave Nagel, the owner, came out the day after Christmas, checked that light fixture, and the wiring in several other places in the building, and advised us there was no smoke detector in the unit. He discussed the situation with our daughter and then took the time to call me and explain things also. I will certainly call Dave again for other electric problems and recommend his company heartily. His rate was a very reasonable $75.
